Dodgers vs Brewers Game 1 Odds

The Dodgers head into Game 1 as a -150 favorite at MLB sportsbooks. The Brew Crew returns at +125. The Over/Under is set at eight runs.
The season series was won by Milwaukee, who won six games against Los Angeles. But you can certainly expect a much more competitive NLCS from the defending World Series champions.
Dodgers vs Brewers Game 1 Analysis
Los Angeles was seen as a contender all year long to repeat as World Series champions, and they’re only one step away from having the chance to complete that feat. The Dodgers first took down the Cincinnati Reds in the NL Wild Card Series before beating the Phillies in the NLDS. A pair of wins on the road in Philly were followed by a loss at home, but LA bounced back in Game 4, eliminating the Phils off an error from Orion Kerkering.
Despite Shohei Ohtani’s offensive struggles in the Division Series, the Dodgers lineup managed to produce enough offense to get past one of the top regular season teams in the big leagues. The Brewers won’t be an easy team to beat, but Los Angeles has no shortage of motivation after Milwaukee dominated them in the season. The Dodgers have yet to announce who will start in Game 1.
It’s been a long time coming for the Brew Crew to advance to the NLCS. In fact, the last time they did so was in 2018, despite having many good teams since then. Milwaukee earned a bye into the NLDS after finishing in first place in the NL Central, and they looked well on their way to a potential sweep of the Cubbies. But, Chicago roared back and won two straight, forcing a decisive Game 5 on Saturday. Andrew Vaughn ultimately played hero, whacking a tie-breaking home run in the fourth inning. Brice Turang then added a solo shot in the seventh to pad Milwaukee’s lead.
Jackson Chourio has led this Brewers offense in the postseason so far. He’s hitting .389 with a homer, while catcher William Contreras went deep twice in the Division Series. On the mound, Freddy Peralta got hit around a bit in the NLDS, but youngster Jacob Misiorowski was brilliant in two appearances, only allowing one earned run across seven innings of work. Just like LA, Milwaukee has yet to reveal who will take the ball in Game 1.
Dodgers vs Brewers Game 1 Picks
Milwaukee has been an unstoppable force at home this season. While they’re only coming in on a days’ rest, I do believe they will keep it rolling. Take the Brew Crew to ride the momentum and grab an important Game 1 win against the defending champions.
