The Dodgers head into Game 3 as a heavy -190 favorite at MLB sportsbooks. The Brew Crew returns at +155. The Over/Under is set at 7.5 runs.
While Milwaukee did win six regular-season meetings with LA, they’ve been overmatched so far in this National League Championship Series.
Dodgers vs Brewers Game 3 Analysis
The Dodgers have been a regular fixture in the NLCS and beyond over the last handful of years, and it’s really no surprise that they’re on the doorstep of another World Series appearance. After all, this is a team with an uber-talented roster, and the best player in baseball in Shohei Ohtani. But he’s struggled offensively in the playoffs, yet Los Angeles has still managed to dominate. They took down the Philadelphia Phillies in four games in the NLDS before jumping out to a quick 2-0 lead in this NLCS against the surging Brewers.
Milwaukee was one of the best home teams in the big leagues in 2025, but that didn’t faze the Dodgers. They rolled into American Family Field and fought hard for a pair of road wins behind stellar performances on the mound from Blake Snell and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The Japanese right-hander carved up Milwaukee in Game 2, throwing a complete game. Dave Roberts sends another elite arm to the hill in Game 3 as Tyler Glasnow gets the ball. He threw six innings of scoreless baseball in the NLDS, and the flamethrower has held Milwaukee’s lineup to a .141 average across 71 at-bats.
The Brew Crew are in their first NLCS since 2018, where they actually lost to this same opponent. While Milwaukee is by no means finished yet, Game 3 is a crucial one. Returning home would be ideal, but first, the Brewers need to pull off the unthinkable and beat the Dodgers twice in Chavez Ravine. Milwaukee’s offense has gone ice cold in this series, scoring just two runs. They’ve banged out a mere five hits in Games 1 and 2 as well. Yes, LA’s pitching has been great, but there’s no excuse to perform that poorly at home, where the momentum is supposed to be on their side.
Pat Murphy’s squad is resilient, but Thursday’s matchup will be another battle. Glasnow is one of the best starters in the sport, and as I mentioned earlier, he’s had nothing but success against this lineup. Milwaukee hasn’t decided who they will send to the mound in Game 3. Overall, their arms have kept them in games. At this point, it simply comes down to the lineup waking up and generating offense. If they don’t, it’s going to be another exit in the Championship Series at the hands of the Dodgers. Thursday is undoubtedly do or die for the visitors.
Dodgers vs Brewers Game 3 Picks
Milwaukee is a good ball club, and I don’t believe they will get swept. After all, we’re talking about one of the best teams in the Majors who earned a bye into the NLDS. Whether it’s chipping away at Glasnow or scoring runs off the Dodgers’ bullpen, the Brew Crew will bounce back in Game 3.
