After the OKC Thunder took the belt to the Minnesota Timberwolves in five games in the West, it was nice to see the East Finals at least reaching a Game 6. The New York Knicks earned the biggest victory of the series in Game 5, dominating the Indiana Pacers in a 17-point win.

Now, the pressure is on both sides as they converge on Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indy for a crucial Game 6. Can the Pacers hold off the Knicks at home, or will New York’s road warriors bring proceedings back to MSG for a Game 7? Check out our player prop picks, spread picks, and the top NBA betting odds for Game 6 on Saturday night!

Note: None of our best bets feature odds shorter than -200.

Pacers vs. Knicks Player Prop Best Bets

Jalen Brunson has scored 20+ in all but two of his 17 playoff games, and has gone for 30+ in 10 of them. That includes four of five in this series against the Pacers. He’s averaging 33.0 points against Indy in this series, and he had similar success in the regular season. He scored 26 and 33 in the first two meetings before fouls cost him most of his night in the third.

Tyrese Haliburton is a long point guard, but he’s certainly not known for his defense. And no matter who the Pacers seem to put on Brunson, they can’t seem to hold him. Even in Game 3, when he scored just 23 points, that was largely because of foul trouble, which held him to just 30 minutes instead of his usual 35.

Brunson earned the Clutch Player of the Year award, and he has only compounded the notion that he deserved it more than anyone in these playoffs. He rises to the moment. And he has proven that since he first came to the Knicks. In the 2023 playoffs with his team facing elimination against the Heat, Brunson exploded for 38 and 41 points in back-to-back games.

He had just 17 in his Game 7 loss to the Pacers last year, but with his team again facing elimination on Thursday night, he came out with another 32-point night. He also scored nearly two more points per game on the road during the regular season, so we like him to stay at or above the 30-point threshold at decent -150 odds on Saturday night.

We also like OG Anunoby. He has had a few ugly days shooting the ball during these playoffs, but he has generally bounced back with a vengeance in the next game. Apart from back-to-back ugly nights in Games 2 and 3 versus Boston, Anunoby has scored 19, 20, and 23 points in games following a shooting night of under 25 percent. We bet on this prop successfully using this logic for Game 6 against Boston, so we’re going back to the well here.

Best Bets

  • Jalen Brunson to Score 30+ Points (-150)
  • OG Anunoby Over 15.5 Points (-115)

Pacers vs. Knicks Game Betting Picks

The Knicks are the team facing elimination here, but it’s really the Pacers who are under all the pressure. The Knicks are trying to do the improbable in coming back from down 3-1. They have nothing to lose on Saturday night. The Pacers, meanwhile, will be thinking about the possibility of becoming one of a few dubious teams to give up a 3-1 lead. If they have to go back to MSG for Game 7, they’re in trouble, and they’ll be acutely aware of that.

Tyrese Haliburton didn’t just have an off night in Game 5. It was a concerted effort by New York to get the ball out of the playmaker’s hands and be physical with him. They can continue that into Game 6, and we believe it will once again be effective. It’s also worth noting that the Knicks are 6-2 on the road in the playoffs, and their 24-17 road record during the regular season was tied for fourth-best. We like the Knicks to win, but we’ll play it safe thanks to a generous +4.0 spread from betting apps.
