Arsenal vs Manchester United Odds

The Gunners are a heavy -176 favorite at soccer betting sportsbooks. United returns as a +500 underdog, while a draw is priced at +330.

Arsenal have won five of the last seven meetings with the Red Devils, tasting defeat just once during that span. The reverse fixture last August ended 1-0 in the Gunners' favor at Old Trafford.

Arsenal vs Manchester United Analysis

The North Londoners are truly having a phenomenal campaign, and winning numerous trophies this term is a serious possibility. Mikel Arteta’s men are seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table, and barring a complete collapse, they should likely win the title. They’ve also been the class of the Champions League, sitting as the lone side in the competition to win all seven of their group stage matches. Arsenal grabbed another victory in the UCL mid-week, marching into the San Siro and beating Inter Milan 2-1.

That extended the Gunners’ unbeaten run to 12 games, with their last defeat coming on December 6 against Aston Villa. Arsenal are easily the most in-form side in England at the moment, and they’ve been practically unbeatable on home soil. The hosts own a 9-2-0 record at the Emirates this season in league play. They’ve also won five straight Premier League meetings with Man United in North London.

The Red Devils made a change in their dugout a few weeks ago, sacking Ruben Amorim and hiring Michael Carrick as their next boss. His tenure at Old Trafford has started positively, and he’s already led them to a famous win over rivals Man City, a match that no one believed they’d win, given the current state of the club. But the Red Devils played a fantastic 90 minutes of football, with Bryan Mbuemo and Patrick Dorgu both scoring in the second half to help their side seal the three points.

United only had 32% of the ball, but they limited the Cityzens to a mere seven shots, with none finding the target. That win moved the Red Devils within reach of the top four, sitting just one point behind fourth-place Liverpool in fifth spot. While competing for the title is very much out of the question, making a return to Europe’s premier competition is possible. Although winning is, of course, the goal on Sunday, simply grabbing a point would be considered a positive result for the visitors, considering just how elite Arsenal have been.

Arsenal vs Manchester United Injury News

After weeks of injury problems, Arteta appears to have a full-strength squad at his disposal. Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie both returned to training, but it remains to be seen if they’re fit enough to feature on Sunday. For United, Matthijs de Ligt is still out with a back injury, while Joshua Zirkzee is questionable to suit up.

Arsenal vs Manchester United Picks

United looked impressive last weekend against City, but Arsenal is a different beast, and it’s been a while since they’ve been this close to 100%, with Arteta having no shortage of options to choose from. Between their form against the Red Devils and their home form, I’ll confidently take the Gunners.
