Brentford vs Arsenal Odds

Arsenal is a massive -145 moneyline at soccer betting sportsbooks. Brentford returns at +400 odds. A draw is priced at +295. The O/U is set at 2.5 goals.

The Gunners are unbeaten across their last nine meetings, winning five of the previous six matches. The reverse fixture ended 2-0 for Arsenal in December at the Emirates Stadium.

Brentford vs Arsenal Analysis

Brentford lost a lot of talent in last summer’s transfer window, and no one believed they’d be competitive this term. After all, Bryan Mbuemo, Yoane Wissa, and Thomas Frank all departed. But the Bees have exceeded expectations, compiling a 12-3-10 record. That puts them in seventh place, and Brentford sits level with Liverpool on 39 points. A spot in Europe is a serious reality.

The Bees rolled into Villa Park on February 1 and beat the Lions 1-0 behind a goal from Dango Outtara before notching another huge win on Saturday against a strong Newcastle side. Keith Andrews’ men have only tasted defeat twice in their last nine Premier League games. But Arsenal is a very stiff test, and Brentford will need to bring their absolute best.

One could argue that Arsenal has been the class of Europe this term. The Gunners finished as the only team in the Champions League with a perfect 8-0-0 record to finish in top spot, and they’ve also been dominant in England. Mikel Arteta’s squad is six points clear at the top of the Premier League table, collecting a 17-5-3 record.

A 3-2 defeat to Manchester United on January 25 was disappointing, but the Gunners have won two straight league games since then, outscoring their opponents 7-0. During that span, they hammered Leeds 4-0, and Sunderland 3-0. Viktor Gyokeres bagged a brace against the Black Cats, while Martin Zubimendi also found the back of the net. Two of Arsenal’s three losses this season have came on the road.

Brentford vs Arsenal Injury News

Arsenal could once again be without several key attacking contributors for the London derby, as Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka both remain uncertain after missing the Sunderland clash. Leandro Trossard has also emerged as a fresh doubt following a suspected calf issue, while Max Dowman and Mikel Merino are confirmed absentees, the latter still recovering from foot surgery.

Brentford’s concerns are more limited, but still impactful in the attacking third, with Kevin Schade serving the second match of his suspension and Reiss Nelson unavailable against his parent club due to loan eligibility rules.

Brentford vs Arsenal Picks

The Bees have shown they can compete with the best of the best, and their form is extremely promising right now. While Arsenal will win, it’ll be a close affair. Take the Gunners to emerge victorious by just one goal.
