Brentford vs Manchester United Odds

Man United heads into this clash as a +110 favorite at soccer betting sites. Brentford returns at +230 odds. A draw is priced at +270.

The Red Devils did enjoy a four-game unbeaten run against the Bees, which included three victories. However, that ended in May, losing 4-3 on this same ground.

Brentford vs Manchester United Analysis

The Bees had a major overhaul this past summer, losing manager Thomas Frank, Yoane Wissa, and, of course, Mbuemo to Manchester United. There’s no question this squad is weaker than last season, and it’s shown. The Bees are sitting in 17th spot, grabbing just four points from five matches so far. On a more positive note, that one victory was impressive, beating Aston Villa. Keith Andrews’ men also knocked out the Lions in the EFL Cup.  Brentford managed to snag a point in a 2-2 draw with Chelsea as well, where they gave the Club World Cup champions a serious run for their money on home soil.

Brentford had a rough go at it last Saturday, though. After Mikkel Damsgaard put his side ahead in the 20th minute, Fulham proceeded to score three unanswered goals in a span of just 12 minutes. The third was also an own goal. This fixture will bring a different sense of motivation for the Bees as they face Mbuemo for the first time. Although he was a wonderful player for the club, Brentford will be hungry to show him why he made a mistake by leaving the London outfit.

It’s been a rough few years for United, who have little to show for as one of the biggest clubs in the world. Ruben Amorim has yet to show he can really turn around the Red Devils, but matchday five was certainly a step in the right direction. An early red card shown to keeper Robert Sanchez put Chelsea at 10 men, and Man United capitalized. Bruno Fernandes scored the first before Casemiro added a second. However, the Brazilian was handed a red before halftime, and United had to hold off the Blues, who managed to score one in the second period.

Amorim’s group now sits in 11th spot in the Premier League standings with a 2-1-2 record. They’ve bagged six goals and conceded eight, with Fernandes leading the way with a pair of tallies. Mbuemo has scored just one in league play, but he’s been a breath of fresh air, adding another element to a struggling United attack. While Brentford may be looking forward to facing him, the Cameroonian will also be eager to prove his worth against his former club.

Brentford vs Manchester United Injury News

Gustavo Nunes and Paris Maghoma are still battling injuries for Brentford, but they could be available to feature on Saturday. Casemiro won’t be available for the visitors after his red card versus Chelsea. Lisandro Martinez is still recovering from a knee injury, while Diogo Dalot is dealing with a lower-body issue as well, missing the last two matches.

Brentford vs Manchester United Picks

The Bees may be on the brink of the relegation zone, but they’ve yet to lose on home soil this term. Man United’s form is also wildly inconsistent. A draw holds value here at +270.
