London rivals go to battle in Premier League action on Wednesday, December 7, as Fulham welcomes neighbors Chelsea to Craven Cottage. The kick-off is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET. The Cottagers are coming off a very impressive 2-2 draw with reigning champions Liverpool on Sunday, but they’re sitting just outside of the top half of the table. As for the Blues, they failed to secure a victory over the weekend, but a 1-1 stalemate with Manchester City is considered a respectable result considering their manager had just departed. Read below for the Fulham vs Chelsea picks.

Fulham vs Chelsea Odds

The Blues are a slim +110 favorite at soccer betting sites. Fulham returns at +245 odds, while a draw is priced at +265. The O/U is also set at 2.5 goals.
Chelsea has definitely been the more dominant side in this clash in recent memory. They’ve won back-to-back meetings and have tasted defeat just twice in the previous seven fixtures. Their last visit to Craven Cottage ended in a 2-1 victory.
Fulham vs Chelsea Analysis
Fulham may be sitting in 11th place, but that doesn’t exactly tell the entire picture. Marco Silva’s men are just three points behind the Blues, who are in fifth and on the brink of a Champions League berth. The Cottagers have every opportunity to battle for a spot in Europe, and Sunday’s result was a significant step in the right direction.
Silva’s group went toe to toe with Liverpool, and the drama in this clash was at an all-time high. After it appeared that Cody Gakpo bagged the winner at the death, just seconds before injury time ended, Harrison Reed scored an absolute banger to help Fulham rescue a point. That extended the club’s unbeaten run in Premier League play to five games, previously playing to a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace just three days prior. Their confidence is high, but facing Chelsea is never easy.
A lot has changed at Stamford Bridge over the last week. After a reported run-in about philosophies within the club, Enzo Maresca and Chelsea decided to part ways, just months removed from the Italian guiding the Blues to the Club World Cup title. Only days after his exit, the Blues had to roll into the Etihad Stadium and hopefully get a result against a high-flying Man City side under interim boss Calum McFarlane.
Thankfully, that’s exactly what they did. Argentina international Enzo Fernandez saved the day in the dying seconds of injury time, bagging his sixth goal of the campaign as he sneaked one past Gianluigi Donnarumma. While Chelsea is still winless across their last four Premier League games, snatching a point away against City is considered a massive accomplishment. Now, the Blues have a chance to get back to their winning ways on Wednesday just down the road. They’ve won their last two visits to Craven Cottage, and Chelsea owns a 4-4-2 record away from Stamford Bridge.
Fulham vs Chelsea Injury News
The Africa Cup of Nations is still hurting Fulham, as Nigerian trio Calvin Bassey, Samuel Chukwueze, and Alex Iwobi are away with Nigeria. Kenny Tete (hamstring), Joshua King (knee), and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) are all questionable due to injury, while Rodrigo Muniz is definitely out.
For Chelsea, Marc Cucurella (thigh) is one of several players in doubt alongside Robert Sanchez (muscle) and Wesley Fofana (illness). Mykhaylo Mudryk (suspended), Dario Essugo (thigh), Levi Colwill (knee), and Romeo Lavia (thigh) are all unavailable. Moises Caicedo is set to return from a yellow card ban.
Fulham vs Chelsea Picks
Fulham has proven to be a tough task for everyone this term – even the big six. However, it’s hard for me to overlook Chelsea’s success against their London neighbors. I believe they will finally grab a victory.
