Manchester City vs Liverpool Odds

The Cityzens are a -110 home favorite at soccer betting sportsbooks. The Reds return at +260 moneyline odds. A draw is priced at +300.

Despite being an underdog, Liverpool has won two consecutive meetings with City. They beat them 2-0 home and away last term en route to the title.

Manchester City vs Liverpool Analysis

After a brief cold spell earlier in the campaign, City is back on track and looking better than ever. Pep Guardiola’s men are in second place in the Premier League table, sitting six points back of Arsenal in top spot. The Cityzens have compiled a 6-1-3 record, winning 10 of their last 12 matches across all competitions. Their only defeat during that span was to Aston Villa on October 26. Since then, the Sky Blues have beaten Swansea City in the EFL Cup, Bournemouth in Premier League play last weekend, and Dortmund on Wednesday.

Erling Haaland continued his lethal ways in front of goal, scoring against his former employers. The Norwegian is now up to 26 goals across all competitions between club and country this term, and he also scored twice against the Cherries on matchday 10. Haaland will need to bring his best once again on Sunday as City search for a crucial three points. Guardiola’s group is just one point above the Merseysiders.

Liverpool’s title defense was very much alive through the first month of the season, but they’ve endured a ton of struggles since. Arne Slot’s side has won only three games in their last nine across all competitions, and two of those victories were in the Champions League. Despite their poor form at times, the Reds remain in the mix for the title, sitting in third place. They’re eight points behind the Gunners, but there’s still many months left in the 2025-26 campaign.

Tuesday’s win at Anfield against Los Blancos was one that will instill immediate confidence in Liverpool ahead of this City affair. Alexis Mac Allister played hero, scoring the winner in the 57th minute. To be frank, the Reds probably should’ve scored more, considering they had 15 total attempts, including 10 on target. Regardless,it was a massive result, and it couldn’t come at a better time. As previously mentioned, the Merseysiders are also unbeaten in their previous two meetings with Man City.

Manchester City vs Liverpool Injury News

Rodri remains out for City, and he likely won’t be back until after the international break. Mateo Kovacic continues to rehab an ankle injury as well, and it’s likely he won’t be back for a few months. Liverpool meanwhile is still missing Alexander Isak, who injured his groin last month. He’s a doubt to feature. Jeremie Frimpong (hamstring), Alisson Becker (hamstring) and Giovanni Leoni are sidelined, too.

Manchester City vs Liverpool Picks

Liverpool appear to have regained some momentum, and that could make for a tasty affair at the Etihad. But, City’s form is extremely consistent right now, and Haaland is unstoppable up top. I’ll take the hosts to win a thriller on home soil.
