Since then, the Sky Blues have beaten Swansea City in the EFL Cup, Bournemouth in Premier League play last weekend, and Dortmund on Wednesday.
Erling Haaland continued his lethal ways in front of goal, scoring against his former employers. The Norwegian is now up to 26 goals across all competitions between club and country this term, and he also scored twice against the Cherries on matchday 10. Haaland will need to bring his best once again on Sunday as City search for a crucial three points. Guardiola’s group is just one point above the Merseysiders.
Liverpool’s title defense was very much alive through the first month of the season, but they’ve endured a ton of struggles since. He’s a doubt to feature. Jeremie Frimpong (hamstring), Alisson Becker (hamstring) and Giovanni Leoni are sidelined, too.
