Manchester United vs Chelsea Odds

Chelsea has +140 odds at soccer betting sportsbooks. United returns at +170, while a draw is priced at +260. This is always an interesting clash, with no clear favorite.

However, the Blues have been the more successful side as of late, going unbeaten across the last three meetings. That includes two victories, most recently beating the Red Devils 1-0 in May at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United vs Chelsea Analysis

As per usual, Man United was busy in the summer transfer window, signing a plethora of players. That included Bryan Mbuemo, Matheus Cunha, and Benjamin Sesko. While Mbuemo in particular has shown promise already, the additions haven’t made enough of a difference so far. Ruben Amorim’s men are in 14th spot with a 1-1-2 record. Their only victory came against Burnley, and that wasn’t easy, either, barely winning by a score of 3-2.

The Red Devils looked lifeless in the Manchester Derby last Sunday, with City ripping through their backline. The Sky Blues were two goals to the good by the 53rd minute, with Erling Haaland bagging a brace. United enjoyed 55% of the ball, but managed just two shots on target. Frustration continues to grow amongst Red Devils fans, and the club will be faced with another difficult test on Saturday. The last time they beat Chelsea was in December of 2023, and it happened at the Theater of Dreams.

The Blues announced themselves to the world this past summer with their Club World Cup triumph, and they’ve definitely shown glimpses of brilliance in the Premier League through the first month. Chelsea is still unbeaten, but they’ve drawn two of their four games. That puts them in fifth spot at the moment, and just four points behind league leaders, Liverpool. Enzo Maresca’s group snatched three points against Fulham and West Ham, while walking away with a lone point against Crystal Palace and Brentford last weekend.

The stalemate with the Bees was disappointing, and they had the chance to redeem themselves when they marched into Munich on Wednesday. But beating Bayern on home soil is a tall task for any club, and Chelsea failed to do so, losing their first UCL fixture of the campaign. The Blues had their opportunities, but the end product was simply missing. Cole Palmer scored the side’s lone goal, and it’s a promising sign for Chelsea that he’s once again at full health.

Manchester United vs Chelsea Injury News

Lisandro Martinez continues to rehab a torn ACL. Mason Mount, Cunha, and Diogo Dalot are all a doubt. The trio missed the Man City clash through injury. The Blues remain without the same players, including Romeo Lavia, Liam Delap, Benoit Badiashile, and Levi Colwill.

Manchester United vs Chelsea Picks

United hasn’t proven much this season and continues to struggle in attack. Chelsea, meanwhile, has shown more consistency and has had the upper hand in recent meetings. At plus money, the Blues look like the right side.
