Manchester United vs Manchester City Odds

By no surprise, Man City heads into this clash as a -102 favorite at soccer betting sites. Manchester United returns at +250 odds, while a draw is priced at +295. The O/U is set at three goals.

City already beat United in the reverse fixture in September, running out 3-0 winners at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester United vs Manchester City Analysis

Similar to Chelsea, there’s been a lot of change at Old Trafford over the last couple of weeks. Following Amorim’s viral comments on his future after a 1-1 draw with Leeds, the United board decided to sack the Portuguese manager, just 63 games into his tenure. Now, it’s Carrick running the show, and he’ll be looking to help the club bounce back from a 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Brighton last week, which ultimately eliminated them from the competition.

Despite the departure of Amorim, the Red Devils aren’t having a terrible campaign by any means. They’re sitting in seventh place in the Premier League table, and only three points out of a Champions League spot. However, United have failed to win across their last four games in all competitions, settling for three straight draws before the loss to Brighton in Cup action. Their last win was on December 26 – beating Newcastle on home soil. Beating City is never easy, and they come into this encounter in fine form.

The Sky Blues managed to get even better in the transfer window, securing a deal for Bournemouth talisman Antoine Semenyo, who is already flourishing with his new club. He’s bagged three goals in two games, and Semenyo will make his Premier League debut with City on Saturday. The Cityzens are sitting in second place at the moment with a 13-4-4 record, six points back of first-place Arsenal.

Man City is flourishing at the moment, going unbeaten in their last 13 matches. After three straight draws to begin the month, Pep Guardiola’s men have notched back-to-back victories in cup play, even smashing Exeter City 10-1 last weekend in the FA Cup. City has just two defeats in their last eight meetings with Manchester United, but both of those were at home, not at the Theatre of Dreams.

United has just one victory at Old Trafford since October, and City couldn’t be in better form. I’ll take the visitors to secure the full points in this derby clash.
