The Red Devils have improved significantly from last season, when they were flirting with the relegation zone. Ruben Amorim has started to generate momentum in the United dugout, guiding his side to seventh place with a 6-3-4 record. They sit just three points outside a Champions League spot heading into Thursday. While the matchday 12 loss to 10-man Everton was a setback, United responded well Sunday.

Jean-Philippe Mateta opened the scoring for Palace, but Joshua Zirkzee equalized shortly after halftime before Mason Mount buried the winner nine minutes later.
