West Ham vs Nottingham Forest Odds

Forest is a slim +131 favorite at soccer betting sites. The Hammers return at +215 odds, while a draw is priced at +245. The O/U is set at 2.5 goals.

The visitors have been the more dominant side in this clash in recent memory, winning three of the last four. However, West Ham did win the last meeting in August, securing a 3-0 victory.

West Ham vs Nottingham Forest Analysis

It’s been a horrendous campaign for the Hammers, who are four points from safety, sitting in 18th spot. Pressure is mounting on the shoulders of Nuno Espirito Santo, as his side currently has a 3-5-12 record. The London outfit is winless in their last five games, and four of them have ended in defeat. While Espirito Santo typically has a solid track record against his former club in Wolves, they ran riot on his team on Saturday, going three goals to the good before the halftime whistle.

West Ham actually controlled 67% of the ball in the fixture, but they were toothless in front of goal, failing to register a single shot on target. Scoring goals has been an issue all term, bagging just 21 in 20 appearances. But, the Hammers' biggest weakness is their inability to keep opponents out of their own net, conceding a top-flight worst 41 times. They’ve allowed five across the last two games alone. When it comes to playing at home, West Ham has a 2-1-7 record, compared to 1-4-5 on the road.

Forest isn’t exactly thriving this term either after finishing in seventh place in 2024-25. The Reds are just barely above safety, and a defeat here would put West Ham right on their heels in 17th place. Forest has collected only 18 points from 20 games, and they own a -14 goal difference. The absence of Chris Wood has hurt them immensely, with the club netting just 19 times.

Saturday’s steep defeat to Villa marked Forest’s fourth straight Premier League defeat, and they’ve conceded a whopping eight times during that span while scoring only twice. The visitors desperately need a turn in form, and their recent record against West Ham is a reason for optimism. Their last visit to the London Stadium in May of 2025 ended in a 2-1 victory.

West Ham vs Nottingham Forest Injury News

The Hammers are still without El Hadji Malick Diouf and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who are competing at the Africa Cup of Nations. Jean-Clair Todibo and Lucas Paqueta appear to be battling injuries as well. As for Forest, Victor sustained an injury after a massive mistake against Villa, while Chris Wood (knee), Ryan Yates (thigh), Willy Boly (AFCON), and Ibrahim Sangare won’t suit up here.

West Ham vs Nottingham Forest Picks

Both of these sides are in poor form, and I’m not expecting a lot of goals to be scored. However, I do think they will both get on the scoresheet and ultimately walk away with a point apiece.
