My Verdict
The improvements made to Mise-o-jeu+ in response to single game sports betting being legalized throughout the country has really transformed their brand into a solid online betting site. The website design was improved and they introduced cash outs as a feature. They also now have a mobile app, along with live betting and the ability to place same game parlays.
The sports coverage isn’t the craziest we have seen by any means, but there are plenty of different sports to bet on including some niche offerings. You also have numerous markets to choose from when it comes to the top sports leagues, including futures and player props.
With this being a government run sportsbook, safety and security really can’t rank much higher. They have a good customer service system put in place as well, but not having a live chat feature was a bit disappointing.
Other downsides include limited payment options and wagering only being available to Quebec residents. There are numerous top payment options available for depositing, but there are no crypto currency options and the only way to withdraw money is through bank transfer, which can take 3 to 5 days.
To summarize my Mise-o-jeu+ review, this is a safe and extremely solid option for Quebec residents that checks a lot of boxes, but they don’t stand out above the top competitors in any areas. Despite this being the only licensed sportsbook in Quebec, residents can still place wagers with the top offshore sports betting sites which are licensed by other governing bodies.

Mise-o-jeu+ Sportsbook Review
Mise-o-jeu+ is the only licensed sportsbook in Quebec, and it is only accessible to Quebec residents. They are owned and operated by Loto-Quebec, a private organization owned by the Federal Government that regulates gambling in the province.
The sportsbook has a solid design, a good selection of sports to bet on, and numerous betting markets for the top sports leagues in the country. Make sure not to confuse Mise-o-jeu+ (the online betting website) with the Mise-o-jeu, which is solely for retail betting in Quebec.
The website is far from perfect with some technical glitches, limited promotions, and no live chat option. They do however have a dedicated sports betting app, numerous betting features, and an excellent FAQ section. Make sure to keep on reading as we go into detail and break down everything you need to know in our Mise-o-jeu+ review.
Is Mise-o-jeu+ Legal in Canada?
Yes, Mise-o-jeu+ is legal to use in Canada. They are the only licensed sportsbook in Quebec, and they are operated by Loto-Quebec, the gambling regulator in the province who is owned by the federal government. Quebec residents are the only ones that can gamble on the website, as the sportsbook requires an account verification that makes you provide a home address in Quebec.
Before single game sports betting was legalized throughout Canada, Quebec residents could only place parlay wagers on Mise-o-jeu+ sportsbook. Ontario has licensed multiple sportsbooks in response to this law change, but other provinces have yet to follow suit. You can still sign up and wager with numerous offshore sports betting sites not licensed by the province if you are a Quebec resident. As long as the sportsbook has a betting licence from a governing body somewhere in the world, legal action will not be pursued against you.
