Pinnacle Strengths and Weaknesses
Every bookmaker out there has areas where they thrive and areas where they come up short. No bookmaker is perfect, so what’s important is finding ones that align with what you’re looking for from an operator. Pinnacle Sports is no different. Let’s take a look at some of the unique strengths and weaknesses of the Pinnacle Sports review.
✔️ Pinnacle Sports Strengths
- Lots of Payment Options: Having a lot of different payment options is something many bettors prioritize as a key feature. Pinnacle Sports has many different payment options, including cryptocurrency, so bettors that like alternative forms of banking have a website that can accommodate that.
- Live Betting: Live betting is something many websites have, and it is a core feature of Pinnacle Sports. They have lots of different markets covered, and the live betting page is front and center on their website. It is a great feature that they have prioritized.
- Betting Resources: The Betting Resources page is an interesting component of Pinnacle Sports. It features blogs and articles that give betting tips and advice, as well as match previews and more. This is something different from most websites, but I thought it was a great addition to the sportsbook that can give users interesting breakdowns and previews.
❌ Pinnacle Sports Weaknesses
- Simplistic Layout: The Pinnacle Sports website isn’t exactly a feat of design. It is effective and usable, but the overall look of it falls short. The colour scheme and layout are very simplistic, and overall, it is well behind some of their competitors in the looks department.
- Lack of Welcome Package and Promotions: This is the biggest weakness, in my opinion. While they do have great odds that partially make up for it, no sports welcome package and hardly any promotions is a serious drawback. This is one of the first operators I’ve encountered where that is the case, and that is something many fans, myself included, will find disappointing.
Overall, Pinnacle Sports Canada has some fun options and good ways to bet. Their betting resources page is a fun addition, as are their many payment options. However, the simplistic layout of the website and their lack of welcome packages and promotions are a little disappointing.
Pinnacle Sport’s review by Cameron Kozinets
Pinnacle is an interesting case because they do things differently than other sportsbooks. They have several areas where they’re really strong and several where they’re quite weak. Your enjoyment of Pinnacle is going to come down to what exactly you’re looking for in a sportsbook.
Reviews are subjective. My opinion on Pinnacle is based on what I like in a sportsbook, and it may not be what you like. You may not feel the same way as me; however, this information will still provide important context on Pinnacle. With that in mind, let’s begin.
Firstly, let’s talk about the most glaring absence in Pinnacle Sport: their welcome bonus and sports promotions. They have none to speak of for sports bettors, which is surprising. They are one of the only websites I know that doesn’t have this, and it does leave an initial negative impression.
However, they make up for this absence with their great odds, markets, and sports coverage. Pinnacle has boosted juice, meaning way more bettor-friendly odds, and they cover a huge amount of sports and leagues. They cover as many leagues as any gambling operator as I have ever seen. I also found they have endless great markets, including player props, which are a personal favourite of mine.
The banking process with Pinnacle Sports is another area they are extremely solid. Depositing and withdrawing are both extremely easy and fast. I had no problems doing either of these, and the information required was only what was necessary.
Beyond that, they had lots of payment methods, varying from the most standard kinds, such as debit cards and Interac, to alternative methods, such as cryptocurrency.
The mobile experience with Pinnacle is middle of the pack. No app holds them back slightly, and the mobile-optimized website isn’t going to blow users away with its looks. However, it is effective and easy to use and has all the same features as the desktop website with a couple of additional casino games.
The customer support of Pinnacle was also decent but not amazing. I prefer a helpline most of all, and Pinnacle doesn’t have that. Their FAQ help center page is really helpful, though, and they are accessible and friendly through email and a chatbox feature.
To conclude, I genuinely liked using Pinnacle Sport. I found that they have great, in-depth sports coverage and incredible odds. This makes them the right fit for an experienced bettor that is looking to really prioritize the sports aspect of their betting, rather than promotions or website design.
The look of Pinnacle Sport is unimpressive, but if you’re someone that just wants to focus on getting the most possible odds on the most possible markets and leagues, Pinnacle may be for you.
My final opinion is that I enjoyed Pinnacle and would recommend it to seasoned bettors. If you love promotions above all else, Pinnacle isn’t the right fit. Other than that, though, most bettors will thoroughly enjoy their use of this operator.
Bonuses & Offers: ⭐⭐
No welcome package and hardly any bonuses hurt Pinnacle here
Betting Variety: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Lots of different sports available to be bet on, and great markets within them
Banking Options: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It has all the banking options I’d want and many that I wouldn’t expect, including cryptocurrency.
Mobile experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
No dedicated app for Canadians, although the mobile-optimized site is quality.
Payout Speed: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The payout speed for Pinnacle is very similar to the industry average, with no major issues in this area.
Pinnacle is fully licensed and regulated by trusted gambling authorities and uses 128-bit SSL data encryption.
Software & Games: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pinnacle has games from some of the biggest providers around, like Microgaming and NetEnt.
Betting Experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pinnacle has almost everything you’d look for in terms of experience, although the simplistic look of their website holds them back.
Customer Support: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
It was easy to get into contact with helpful Pinnacle customer service workers; however, the lack of a phone line hurts
Pinnacle Welcome Package
A Welcome Package is what operators use to incentivize gamblers to use them rather than competitors. Welcome packages are bonuses you receive for starting an account and depositing with a bookmaker.
Typically, they’ll come in the form of a matched deposit up to a certain number. That means if it’s a 100% matched deposit up to $200, the bettor will receive $200 in bonus funds if they deposit $200 for their first deposit.
Unfortunately, Pinnacle Sports doesn’t have a welcome bonus for new customers. This is surprising because a welcome package is something just about every operator provides their customers, so not having this is quite disappointing.
The primary reason for their lack of a welcome package for sportsbook users, from what I’ve seen, is that they provide higher quality odds and reduced juice. This makes sense, as reduced juice does limit the potential profits of a sportsbook.
However, if you’re someone that prioritizes welcome bonuses, you’ll be rather let down to find out that Pinnacle will not be providing one for you.
Live Casino Welcome Bonus
If you deposit at least $50, you receive a $25 bonus for the live casino. It can’t be bet on sporting events, and the transfer and bonus amount must be bet 40x on any Live Casino game.
Pinnacle Bonus & Promotions
Bonuses and promotions are something many bettors prioritize. Bonuses and promotions are betting twists that operators create. There are many different kinds of bonuses and promotions for sportsbooks, including many that are tied into major sporting events. An example of this would be a $20 free bet for the Super Bowl.
Once again, Pinnacle doesn’t offer any bonuses and promotions in this area. The Pinnacle sportsbook is devoid of any promotions that are specifically for the sports website. Bonus hunters would be better off looking elsewhere.
One thing to keep in mind is that bonuses and promotions rarely provide the value bettors expect. They often have restrictive terms and conditions that alter their value. Still, it is something most bettors want in a sportsbook, and Pinnacle Sports doesn’t provide it.
Pinnacle Casino bonuses
Sportsbook bonuses are promotions dedicated to sports betting, while casino bonuses are dedicated to casino betting. Most operators provide a significant selection of both.
Casino bonuses differ in what they’re offering. One of the most popular types of casino bonuses is the free spin bonus, where bettors are given a certain number of free spins at a specific slot machine game. There are also VIP programs that many operators have, where bettors receive points for every bet they make, which can then be exchanged for cash.
Pinnacle does have a couple of casino bonuses, although not many. Still, there are a couple of different options bettors can take advantage of, so let’s take a look.
10% Cashback on Live Casino Games Every Sunday
Every Sunday, you can receive a 10% cashback on all losses up to $100
10% Cashback on All Slots Every Tuesday
Every Tuesday, you can receive a 10% cashback on all losses up to $100
Pinnacle best sports features
A feature is a component of a betting website that impacts how you gamble. Features are the unique offerings that betting websites provide. Every operator is going to have different features, and for many bettors, they are the differentiators that define whether or not they choose to bet with them.
Pinnacle has several core features that set them apart. Understanding what these features are is an important first step to being able to profit off them.
Let’s look into the different features available with Pinnacle Betting:
Pinnacle Virtual Sports
If you’re ever trying to make a bet, and there are no games that interest you, virtual sports might be for you. Virtual sports are entirely simulated sporting events with randomized winners. Bettors can choose winners and place bets, and watch the virtual event unfold. This is a great feature for active bettors whose favourite sport is in the offseason or not on that day.
Pinnacle Boosted Juice
Boosted juice essentially means that the odds will be higher for bettors. Boosted juice is when the operator alters the odds so that the margins are less slanted in their favour in order to inspire bettor action. Boosted juice makes the odds better for gamblers, and this is a feature that Pinnacle is widely known for. They have extremely bettor-friendly odds, so take advantage of it to win big.
Pinnacle Betting Resources
The betting resources page on Pinnacle is an interesting feature I haven’t seen available on many operators’ websites. Betting resources is a page dedicated to providing gamblers with information on relevant sports topics. For example, there are predictions, match previews, and other similar resources that provide bettors with expert insights into what they should be gambling on.
Pinnacle Sports Coverage
When most people choose to gamble with an operator, the first thing they prioritize is the sports that they cover. Every sportsbook is going to have different odds, different markets, and different sports covered.
Depending on what type of sports you are looking to bet on, this will be of varying importance. The average Canadian sportsbook is likely to have odds on the primary leagues that are popular in Canada, but if you prefer more niche sports, not every operator will have the same ones.
Pinnacle Sports Canada has several niche offerings, including an extensive amount of eSports, as well as snooker, biathlon, CrossFit, and more.
These sporting events will appeal to some users, but these are not the primary leagues bettors will be interacting with. Let’s take a look at Pinnacle coverage of the most popular sports leagues.
Pinnacle Baseball ⚾
Baseball is one of North America’s oldest and most beloved sports, and it has spread around the world to become a global game. That global nature is reflected in the international leagues covered by Pinnacle, including Korea, Chinese Taipei, and Mexico. They, of course, also cover the MLB, with lots of markets and Word Series betting.
Pinnacle Basketball 🏀
Basketball was invented by a Canadian, and it has rapidly grown in popularity to become one of Canada’s best-loved sports. Pinnacle Sports Betting has a huge amount of NBA markets, with odds on just about everything the typical NBA fan would want. They also cover just about every other major league around the world, from Europe to Argentina.
Pinnacle Football 🏈
Betting on Football is something many Canadians, myself included, love to do every week. Pinnacle is a solid place to go for these bets. They have extensive coverage of the NFL and NCAA, so you can enjoy Super Bowl or National Championship betting. They don’t, however, cover the CFL, which is something some Canadian bettors look for.
Pinnacle Hockey 🏒
Hockey is Canada’s most beloved sport, with a long history of dominance by Canadian players. Pinnacle Betting presents bettors with odds on a massive amount of leagues. From the OHL to the Norwegian league, you can find odds on just about any hockey game anywhere in the world. That, of course, includes the NHL, so bettors can do some Stanley Cup betting.
Pinnacle Soccer ⚽
Soccer is the world’s most popular game, and as Canada has improved as a soccer nation, so too has our level of interest in the sport. If you want to bet on soccer, Pinnacle Sports is the place to go. They have coverage of leagues from Russia to Chile, with odds available on just about every significant game happening at any time. They also have international odds, so you can bet on the world cup or euro cup tournament.
Pinnacle sponsorship deals 🏆
Pinnacle is heavily involved with eSports and sponsors several different events and teams in this market.
Is Pinnacle Sports Betting Legit?
As a Canadian sports bettor, you always have to be wondering, is this sportsbook legal in Canada? You don’t want to accidentally participate in illegal activities, so making sure that the operator you choose to bet with is legal and safe is extremely important.
Typically, if an operator is legal, it is safe, as operators that have legal status are regulated and licensed. This means that they have certain standards that they have to uphold if they’re to continue running.
Knowing that you are banking with and sharing your information with a company you can trust is essential to your continued security. If you ever asked yourself, is pinnacle betting safe? the answer is yes, Pinnacle is a company you can feel secure using.
Pinnacle is licensed and regulated in both Malta and Netherlands Antilles, which means there are two large gambling regulatory boards that are monitoring them to make sure that they’re following all rules and are protecting customers.
As well, Pinnacle is fully legal in Canada. They are a trusted brand that Canadians don’t have to think twice about when using.
They also protect their customers, as their website uses 128-bit SSL encryption. This protects your data and payment from hackers and is one of the highest levels of security available.
Because this website is featured here, with BT10, it can be trusted. We only review and recommend safe and legal websites for Canadian bettors, and we do recommend Pinnacle.
Pinnacle Banking Options
Now that you’ve heard a little about all the great sports offerings that Pinnacle provides, you’re probably feeling ready to get started. In order to do that, you’re going to have to deposit with their banking system.
Banking with an operator can be a scary thing, especially if you’re new to online betting in general. But using Pinnacle banking features is safe, easy, and fast.
I deposited with Interac, as that is the banking method I prefer. The minimum deposit with Pinnacle is $10, and when I deposited, the money hit my account almost immediately.
While I prefer to use Interac because it is easy and speedy, if you’re someone who utilizes alternative forms of banking such as cryptocurrency, you’ll be delighted by the number of options available to you with Pinnacle. Pinnacle has both conventional and alternative deposit and withdrawal options.
For withdrawals, I withdrew using Interac once again. Pinnacle is well-known around the gambling world as a quick site for withdrawals, but I found the payout speed was roughly average, if not a little bit faster. It took a couple of days before the money hit my account.
Overall, banking with Pinnacle was easy and effective. They have a reputation as a trusted and easy company to deposit and withdraw with, and I felt they lived up to that. Their many great options and their ease of use set them apart.
Deposit methods options at Pinnacle
There are numerous ways of funding an account with Pinnacle.
Canadian customers can use:
- Visa Credit
- Bank Wire Transfer
All methods are safe and viable options that are used regularly throughout Canada. Funds are available immediately and are clearly visible in the betting wallet. Customers can access their transactions and banking history at any point.
Pinnacle Betting Markets & Types of Bets Available
Now that we’ve talked a little about the sports that Pinnacle offers coverage of, we should look into the betting markets and types of bets available. Betting markets and types of bets are the aspects of the game or sport that bettors are choosing to bet on. There are several different kinds of markets, and it is a matter of preference which ones’ bettors prioritize. Let’s look at the markets and types of bets available on Pinnacle.
Pinnacle Betting Markets:
- Moneyline: A Moneyline bet is a bet directly placed on the outcome of if a team will win. If you bet a team on the Moneyline, that just means you’ve picked them to win, regardless of score differential.
- Spread: The spread is the line that oddsmakers project the score differential to be. You can bet for or against the spread. If you bet for the spread, you’re betting that a team will win by more than the projected differential. If you bet against it, you’re betting a team will either win by less than the differential or not win at all.
- Total: A total is a line oddsmakers pick that they believe the total amount of points scored in a game between both teams will be. Bettors can then choose to bet the over, meaning there will be more points scored than the line, or the under, which means less.
- Game Props: A game prop is a line related to things happening within a game, not the final score. For example, an NFL game prop would be something like the total number of field goals kicked by both teams, and an NBA prop would be the total number of fouls by both teams.
- Player Props: This is a market I love, and Pinnacle has great offerings here. Player props are the same as game props, but they’re related to players instead of teams or total games. It’d be something like, will Connor McDavid score in an NHL game, or will Kevin Durant have 30+ points?
- Futures: Futures are bets that aren’t determined within a game. A futures bet is something that takes place over the course of a season or tournament. An example would be who will win a sports championship or a specific division.
Pinnacle Types of Bets Available
- Live Betting: Live betting is bets that are placed on games that are already underway. Pinnacle has an extensive live betting section, with tons of sports covered and the live betting page on the Home of the website. Live betting has odds that update as the game plays.
- Multiple Bets: Multiple bets, which are also known as parlay bets, are when bettors combine different lines into one bet. Each line has to hit in order for the bet to be a success. The benefit of a multiple is that the odds multiply based on the number of bets in there, so you see more value than if you had just bet on the lines individually.
Pinnacle Mobile Betting & App Experience
Mobile betting is a great part of using a sportsbook. It allows you to bet on your favourite teams from wherever you are. Late getting back from work, and can’t make it to your computer? At a bar with some friends and want to bet on a big game? Simply pull out your phone and enjoy.
Some operators provide an app to their users, which improves the simplicity. You remain logged in on your phone, and it is easy to access. However, with Pinnacle betting, this isn’t the case.
They do, however, provide a mobile-optimized website. The experience is largely the same from desktop to phone. The website looks very similar, although it fits smoothly onto the smaller area of a phone.
To bet, follow the same steps as on the laptop, except instead of clicking on the line that most appeals to you, tap on it instead. The same features that are available on the website are available on the phone.
Overall, the mobile experience with Pinnacle is unexceptional yet still enjoyable. The lack of an app doesn’t help their case, and the website doesn’t stand out on the phone. However, it is still easy to use, effective and brings the entirety of the Pinnacle experience to your phone.
Mobile app’s promotions
There are no promotions for using Pinnacle on your phone; however, there are some casino games you can only access from mobile.
Pinnacle Customer Support
If you ever run into some confusing spots while using a bookmaker, them having good customer support will make all the difference in the world. Things do go wrong when using operators, and the ability to get in touch with friendly and effective staff is important.
Pinnacle customer service wasn’t exceptional, but it was certainly solid enough. There are several different pathways you can take if you have an important question. For starters, there is a contact form you can fill out, where you list your complaint or question, the department it is related to, and then input your email. Pinnacle will then get back to you shortly.
Another option is their help center’s FAQ. Pinnacle FAQ is extensive and covers a wide range of categories, so you may not even need to get in touch with anyone. Just browse the questions, and you may find the answers you’re looking for.
Lastly, there is a chatbox feature. You need to create a request on the contact page in order to get in touch with someone on the chatbox, but once I did, after about 3 minutes, the person I talked to was helpful and friendly.
There is no phone line with Pinnacle, which is disappointing because that is my ideal way to get in touch with a customer support representative.
However, I still found that if I were to have had a major problem, it wouldn’t have been hard for me to get in touch with a helpful support member. While it would take slightly longer than if there were a helpline, the customer support features were still useful and accessible.

Frequently asked questions about Pinnacle
Pinnacle Sports is a bookmaker that has been around for many years; however, many bettors are not at all familiar with it. If you’re interested in getting started with Pinnacle betting, we’ve got you covered with answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about this sportsbook.
❔ How Do I Know I Can Trust Pinnacle?
One of the best ways to know if you can trust an operator is if they are fully licensed. Pinnacle is fully licensed in both Curacao and Malta, meaning they are up to the standards of two different gambling authorities. They also have 128-bit Secure Socket Layer data protection, which is a high level of encryption.
❔ What is Reduced Juice?
Reduced juice is when the margins for the betting operator are reduced, making the odds more favourable for gamblers. Pinnacle is known for having reduced juice, which is one of the reasons they don’t offer promotions.
❔ What is a Teaser Bet?
A teaser bet is when gamblers can tie two different bets into one. It reduces the odds that the bets will hit but strengthens the payout if it does. Bettors can also adjust the point spreads on teaser bets.
❔ Does Pinnacle Have Prop Betting?
Pinnacle does have extensive prop offerings, significantly more than the average sportsbook. Props are bets on occurrences within a game, and Pinnacle presents lines on numerous different props.
