The San Antonio Spurs lost for a second straight time at home in Game 2 against the New York Knicks. That puts them in a historic hole that no team has ever climbed out of in an NBA Finals series. We’ve got you covered with our analysis and betting predictions for Game 3 in what is sure to be an insanely rowdy New York City on Monday night (June 8). Read on for our betting picks, player prop best bets, and NBA betting odds!

Spurs vs. Knicks Game 3 - Point Spread/Moneyline Prediction
We took the Spurs in Game 2 and we thought they would win big, but the Knicks simply won’t go away. San Antonio now find themselves in a historic hole down 0-2 and heading on the road for Games 3 and 4. And in New York at Madison Square Garden, the Mecca of basketball, no less.
Victor Wembanyama had a very bittersweet game. He turned it up in the second half offensively, but he made some really bone-headed mistakes at some of the worst times. If he’s able to keep his nerve, the Spurs win that game.
And while New York is a cauldron and not a place where opponents generally gain confidence, we believe Wemby kind of already did the worst things he could possibly do.
He’s going to learn from those mistakes and his Spurs are going to follow his example and show some pride in Game 3 to get (slightly) back into this series with a win. The Spurs being dogs for the first time in this series gives us plus odds on the moneyline too, which is always nice.
Best Bet: San Antonio Spurs Moneyline (+110)
Spurs vs. Knicks Game 3 - Player Prop Best Bets
Victor Wembanyama was quiet in the first half as the Knicks took the lead and built on it early in the second. But then something clicked for Wemby and he realized that he was, in fact, 7’5”, and no one could really stop him if he consistently went into the paint.
He took just five shots in the first half, with only two coming around the rim. In the second half, when the Spurs made their comeback, he took 15 shots, eight of which came in the paint.
Six of those were right around the rim (four makes). And that’s what he needs to focus on. Not his elegant jump shot. His strength down low. If San Antonio is going to win this game, Wemby will need to score 30, and since we’re getting plus odds here too, we’re throwing it in the mixer.
On the other side, if you think the Knicks take a 3-0 lead in the series, we like Jalen Brunson to score 25+ at -165. He had a rough shooting night in Game 2, managing just 20 points. The four other times he’s scored 20 or fewer during this magical playoff run he responded in the next game with 39, 35, 30, and 30.
Whichever team you think wins, we love OG Anunoby’s -135 odds to score 15 points. This guy is ol’ reliable, having scored 17+ in four straight games and in 11 of his 14 playoff games this season. We think he keeps it up at home in NY.
Best Bets
- Victor Wembanyama To Score 30+ (+122)
- OG Anunoby To Score 15+ (-135)
