Spurs vs. Thunder West Finals Game 3: NBA Game Picks & Betting Odds

The San Antonio Spurs did what they went to the Sooner State to do: win one. And they did. In Game 1. In double OT. But the Thunder fought back in Game 2 to even the series 1-1 while also covering a pretty hefty 7.5-point spread, though not by much in their 122-113 victory.
When an NBA playoff series is tied 1-1, the team that wins Game 3 goes on to win the series about three quarters of the time. That makes Friday night’s tilt in Texas all-important.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander showed why he was the MVP in Game 2, and he will hope to continue that in Game 3. But can the Alien Victor Wembanyama really be contained? Read on for our betting picks and NBA betting odds for Game 3 at Frost Bank Center on Friday.

Spurs vs. Thunder Game 3 - Point Spread/Moneyline Prediction
Both games in this Western Conference Finals series have been gems. But that Game 1 was really something, huh? After that thrilling upset win for the Spurs, the Thunder answered with an impressive win of their own. But now they have to hit the road to try and pry home court advantage back from Victor Wembanyama and his gang of guards.
And we’re not sure they’ll be able to do it in Game 3. Jalen Williams aggravated a hamstring injury that bothered him during the first round. He’s day-to-day, but we doubt he’ll play Friday. And sure, he’s been out most of the season. But this is the Western Conference Finals. You need your best players and matchups matter more than usual.
The Spurs have been amazingly irresponsible to be tied 1-1. They turned the ball over 21 times in both games in this series. While they haven’t been elite in that category, they have only coughed it up 15-16 times per game in the postseason including those games.
In the regular season, they had the fourth-fewest TOs per contest. Back at home, they will calm down (Stephon Castle especially), and the lack of points off turnovers will make it tough for the Thunder to win on the road.
Best Bet: San Antonio Spurs Moneyline (-130)
Spurs vs. Thunder Game 3 - Over/Under Prediction
We don’t know where these oddsmakers are getting this 217.5 number for Game 3’s over/under total, but we’re not arguing. Game 1 saw 237 points and Game 2 had 235. Five of the six games in San Antonio’s Conference Semifinal win over the Timberwolves went for 220+. Six of OKC’s eight games before this series went for 225 or more. We don’t see Game 3 being an anomaly.
Best Bet: Game Total Points Over 217.5 (-110)
