The Super Bowl is one of the best time of the year for football fans. With only two teams still left competing—the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks—most fans watch the Big Game as neutrals. And when you’re a neutral, you can have a lot more fun betting on the Super Bowl as well.

We’ve already gone over novelty bets, game picks, player props, anytime TD scorers, and more for Super Bowl 60. But Super Bowl betting is so special because of the “specials” betting markets. These are much more specific and unique bets that you can’t generally make on regular NFL games.

And there are quite literally hundreds of different Super Bowl 60 specials to be wagered on. It seems there are more and more Super Bowl markets with every passing year. We already covered our favorite quarter/half-specific specials. Now, we’ll take a look at our three favorite Super Bowl 60 specials from the entire specials board.

Highlights

  • Patriots punter Bryce Baringer has hit a league-high 19 punts during the playoffs
  • Rashid Shaheed is the most obvious deep threat; he caught a 51-yarder in the NFCCG
  • Seattle was tied for 7th in the NFL with 47 sacks

Both Teams To Make a FG of 34+ Yards - Yes (-130)

The Patriots and Seahawks were two of the highest-scoring teams in the NFL during the regular season. They scored a lot of touchdowns, but they also hit a lot of field goals too. Seattle’s kicker, Jason Myers, hit 41 during the regular season, second only to Ka’imi Fairbairn. New England’s Andres Borregales only hit 27, but he’s been called on more often in the postseason. Borregales is tied for the playoff lead with six field goal attempts, of which he’s hit four.

While Myers has yet to hit a field goal from 34+ during the playoffs and Borregales hasn’t done it since the Wild Card round, we expect a few longer field goals in the Super Bowl. This prop has hit in five of the last eight Super Bowls.

Most Punts - New England Patriots (-140)

With two elite defensive units going head-to-head here, we could see more punts than we might like. However, we think Seattle’s offense has a pretty significant advantage over the Patriots, which means they are likely to punt fewer times. Neither team punted very often during the regular season, but that has changed in the playoffs.

Patriots punter Bryce Baringer actually leads the league with 19 punts this postseason. That’s over six per game. He has booted it eight times in each of the last two games. Seattle punter Michael Dickson has punted just eight times in two combined playoff games.

Player to Have Longest Reception - Rashid Shaheed (SEA) (+700)

Our first two “specials” picks were a little safer, but we’re gonna look for the home run ball on this one. Rashid Shaheed is all about the big play. He’s one of the fastest players in the league, and while he doesn’t get the ball very often, when he does, it’s usually an explosive. In the NFC Championship Game, he showed off that big play ability with a 51-yard reception early on. That was his only catch of the day, but it would have paid out this prop nonetheless.
