The final two games of the Elite Eight are going down on Sunday afternoon, so make sure you set your alarm clocks, especially on the West Coast. The first of the pair tips off at 12:15 p.m. ET in Chicago, with the No. 1 seed in the Midwest, Michigan, taking on No. 6 Tennessee.

The Wolverines are massive favorites to win, but could the Volunteers pull out a second straight upset? A more important question might be: who’s going to step up for either team? Which players are going to have signature March Madness moments or performances in this one? Read on for our player prop best bets and March Madness betting odds for this Michigan-Tennessee Elite Eight matchup.

Nate Ament, F, Tennessee Volunteers - 2+ Three-Pointers Made (+122)

Nate Ament is 6’10”, but he’s got a sweet stroke from outside. He’s hit 46 threes through 34 games so far this season, second-most on the team. That includes an excellent 3-for-4 effort from beyond the arc during Tennessee’s Sweet 16 win earlier this week. He doesn’t always shoot a ton, which is why this prop is offering a little more value.

However, the way Michigan plays, we’re expecting Ament to spend some time on the outside. Not only are the Volunteers going to have to score a lot of points (which means hoisting up a lot of shots, a good sign for the Vols’ second-leading scorer), but the Wolverines also have a big, tough interior defense that could cause Ament to drift to the three-point line. Michigan forces their opponents to shoot nearly half their shots from three-point land (43 percent).

If the Volunteers find themselves down in the second half, Ament could start chucking them up as well. Ament has attempted 5+ threes in three of Tennessee’s last four losses. Ament has hit multiple triples in nine of his last 17 games, and both Howard and Alabama have hit 14 triples against Michigan during this tournament. The opportunities will be there for Ament, who is a 37 percent three-point shooter.

Elliot Cadeau, G, Michigan Wolverines - 6+ Assists (-115)

On the other side, the guy driving the Wolverines bus is point guard Elliot Cadeau. The Wolverines are top 25 in the nation in pace according to KenPom, and they’re also No. 50 in possessions per game, at 73.3. They’ve scored 90+ points in all three games in this March Madness tournament, and while they might not hit those heights against a stingy Tennessee team, they’ll still score.

Cadeau will be at the heart of that. He’s got great decision-making in transition and great vision in the half-court. He’s always had a solid assist rate, but since fellow starting guard LJ Cason went down with an injury, Cadeau has played 30+ minutes in six of eight games. He’s also had 7+ assists in six of those eight games, including 7, 7, and 9 in his three March Madness games. He should be able to get these six assists for us comfortably.
