Dodgers vs Blue Jays Game 6 Odds

Although the Dodgers are on the brink of elimination, they’re a heavy -140 favorite for Game 6 at MLB sportsbooks. The Blue Jays, who are 1-1 at home in the Fall Classic, return at +120 odds.

Dodgers vs Blue Jays Game 6 Analysis

Los Angeles has looked decent overall in the World Series, but I don’t think anyone believed they’d be trailing in this series. While Shohei Ohtani has absolutely raked, the rest of this offense hasn’t done a whole lot, and their starting pitching has struggled to be consistent. If it wasn’t for Yamamoto’s complete game shutout earlier in this series, there could be a bigger deficit in the Fall Classic for the Dodgers. The NL champions were dominated by rookie Trey Yesavage on Wednesday evening, with the Blue Jays righty striking out 12 and allowing just one earned run across seven phenomenal innings.

Dave Roberts will certainly be feeling confident with Yamamoto on the bump on Friday. The Japanese phenom was lights out in Game 2 at the Rogers Centre, tossing nine innings and giving up just four hits and one earned run while striking out eight. The Dodgers will need the best version of Yamamoto once again in Game 6 – their season depends on it. He’ll be on six days’ rest, last pitching on Saturday.

Considering where this Jays team was at before the All-Star break, it’s crazy to think they’re one victory away from a title. Toronto was arguably the best team in the Majors in the second half and they carried that brilliance into the postseason, taking down the New York Yankees and Seattle Mariners en route to the World Series. This team is ridiculously resilient, playing 18 innings on Tuesday and then bouncing back to win by five runs on Wednesday.

The Blue Jays came out the gates firing in Game 5, with David Schneider taking Blake Snell deep on the first pitch of the contest. Just two pitches later, Vladimir Guerrero Jr also went yard. While Snell did settle in briefly, Toronto managed to tag him for three more runs. The AL winners certainly have momentum heading into Game 6, but they know Yamamoto won’t be an easy arm to face. As for Gausman, he’ll be looking to outduel Yamamoto, which he failed to do in Game 2.

Dodgers vs Blue Jays Game 6 Picks

This is going to be a thrilling matchup, just like every other game in this World Series. The Dodgers, after all, are the defending champions, and I do believe they will force a Game 7. Take LA on the moneyline, behind another gem from their ace.
