I grew up playing sports, starting with t-ball as a four-year-old through high school. My family is also crazy about sports, especially the Portland Trail Blazers and Timbers.

What’s the most memorable game or match you’ve attended or followed?

Watching Damian Lillard’s series-winning three-pointer against the Houston Rockets in 2014. I wasn’t lucky enough to be at the stadium, but watching it surrounded by family was the next-best thing.

When you’re not writing about sports, what do you usually do?

If I’m not writing about sports, I’m usually watching them or traveling — sometimes both.

Which athlete or team do you admire most, and why?

His career ended before I was born, but I’ve always admired Eric Cantona. I don’t think there are many characters like him in sports nowadays.

How do you stay up to date on sports news and trends?

Social media is a good way to stay on top of major news, but I personally like to use aggregators like NewsNow to make sure I never miss a story.
