Betano hosted fantasy tournament for the NFL
Last week Betano hosted a free fantasy football tournament for the NFL on its sportsbook, offering prizes to the winner and players who finished in the top 200. Most sports betting sites take bets on the NFL, but Betano also hosted a fantasy football tournament for the NFL games on Sunday. Players could win a free bet up to $100. A fantasy tournament was also held for the Premier League.
The sportsbook gave their bettors $50,000 in fantasy money to create a team with nine players. Each team needed a quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end, and D/ST. Players ranged in value from $8,200 for San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey to $5,900 for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott for example.
How to play
Betano players could pick up to two tight ends, four wide receivers, one quarterback, three running backs, and one D/ST for their team of nine. The minimum requirement for a team was one quarterback, one tight end, three wide receivers, two running backs, and one D/ST. The prize for the highest scoring team was a $100 free bet. The other prizes were a $50 free bet, $25 free bet, $15 free bet, $10 free bet, $5 free bet, and a $2 free bet for players who finished two to 200.
For teams that tied the tiebreaker was which team had the highest remaining budget. The second tiebreaker was which team was created first. Points were awarded for each statistical category.

Over 650 teams entered the tournament. NFL players from 13 games could be picked. The maximum number of players that could be picked from each team was three. Each Betano bettor was given two entries.
