On one of the sports betting sites, the defending champions don’t have the most money bet-on them to win the NFC and the reigning MVP isn’t in the top five for MVP bets this year. BetMGM players are betting on the Buffalo Bills though.

BetMGM publishes early betting numbers for the 2025-2026 NFL season

Following a trip to the AFC Championship last season, BetMGM bettors have bet the most money, 19.6 per cent, on the Buffalo Bills to win the AFC so far. The preseason begins on July 31 when the Detroit Lions play against the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame game. Public betting numbers for the NFL and most other leagues aren’t published by the sports betting sites often. These numbers provide some insight into the teams and players that BetMGM bettors have put their money behind heading into the season.

BetMGM bettors bet the second most money on the Baltimore Ravens to win the AFC with 16.8 per cent of the handle. BetMGM players bet the third most money on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs with 14.7 per cent. BetMGM players bet the least money, 0.4 per cent on the Jaguars. At +350, the Ravens are the betting favourites to win the AFC. Despite having the most money on them to win the AFC on BetMGM, the Bills are tied with the Chiefs for the second best odds to win the conference on the sportsbook with +360 odds.

Super Bowl LX betting numbers

The Bills were third on the list of teams with the most money on them to win Super Bowl LX in San Francisco. Bettors have bet the most money, 15.2 per cent, on the defending champions Philadelphia Eagles to repeat. However, the most tickets, 10.6 per cent, were on the Detroit Lions to win the Super Bowl. The Lions had the second most money bet-on them with 12.3 per cent of the money.

The Dallas Cowboys weren’t in the top 10 with 2.1 per cent of the handle, but BetMGM bettors bet the most money on the Cowboys to win the NFC with 18.4 per cent of the handle. The four other most bet-on teams were the Los Angeles Rams, Washington Commanders, Lions, and Minnesota Vikings. The New Orleans Saints were the least bet-on team.

The reigning MVP isn’t in the top five

The sportsbook also published early betting numbers for the 2025-2026 NFL MVP award. With 3.8 per cent of the handle, the reigning MVP Josh Allen isn’t in the top five for tickets or money bet. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is leading both categories with 14.6 per cent of the tickets and 27 per cent of the handle.

Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was second in both categories with 12 per cent of the tickets and 12 per cent of the money. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was third in both categories with 6.5 per cent of the tickets and 9.4 per cent of the money. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is the betting favourite. Jackson has +550 odds on BetMGM. Eagles running back Saquon Barkley led all non-Qbs with 3.3 per cent of the tickets and 3.7 per cent of the money.
