Manchester City vs Brighton Odds

Man City are a sizeable -159 moneyline favorite at soccer betting sites, while Brighton sit as a +359 underdog. A draw also offers immense value at +340 odds, while the O/U is set at 3.5 goals.

As discussed, City edged out the Seagulls on penalties in the Carabao Cup, but Brighton are unbeaten in the last four Premier League meetings with the Cityzens, with two wins in that span.

Manchester City vs Brighton Analysis

City’s 2026-27 campaign has been overshadowed by the legal issues the club faces off the pitch, with relegation to the Championship and an enormous points deduction still very much possible. But the team has managed to keep their focus amid the drama. Enzo Maresca’s men are sitting level on points in first place with Arsenal, and currently hold the top spot due to a superior goal difference. City have an impressive 7-0-1 record, bagging 20 goals and conceding just nine.

However, last weekend was certainly a setback for the Sky Blues, with Villa beating them by a goal. Marc Guehi’s mistake on the first goal proved to be costly, with Nicolas Jackson firing the Lions ahead. Erling Haaland managed to equalize as he continues to flourish in front of net, but more sloppy defending saw Jackson bag the winner for Villa late in the second half. City will be hungry to respond here and potentially expand the gap between them and Arsenal, who will lock horns with Liverpool on Sunday.

Brighton have been one of the Premier League’s biggest surprises this term. The club has scored a top flight-best 23 goals while conceding just six, which is also the second-lowest behind only Leeds. The Seagulls have kept four clean sheets this season, and already hammered title-holders Arsenal 3-0 on September 19.

Their attack has been incredibly balanced, with six different players scoring at least two goals. Pascal Gross, Jack Hinshelwood, and Charalambos Kostoulas lead the way with three apiece. But Brighton’s frontline struggled to produce the goods last weekend in a defeat to Liverpool, putting them five points back of first place. They will be biting at the bit to bounce back after back-to-back losses, and the Seagulls proved on Wednesday they have what it takes to make this fixture with City a competitive one.

Manchester City vs Brighton Injury News

City have a relatively clean bill of health, but Antoine Semenyo will be out until December due to a knee injury. Matheus Nunes is also questionable to feature on Saturday because of a muscular issue, but he has a chance to be on the bench.

Brighton’s absentee list is much longer. Kaoru Mitoma, Evan Ferguson, Stefanos Tzimas, Femi Azeez, and Pascal Struijk are all sidelined due to injuries. Ferdi Kadioglu and Chema Andres are both doubtful as well.

Manchester City vs Brighton Picks

Both teams rested the majority of their starters in Wednesday’s midweek clash, so I expect an entertaining fixture here. But City have won every game in the Premier League at the Etihad this season, and Brighton have shown defensive vulnerability lately. Expect Erling Haaland to be the difference-maker as the hosts secure a close victory.
