Jordan Mason, RB, MIN - Over 45.5 Rushing Yards (-110) @ NYG
The New York Giants are one of those run defenses that are so bad that you kind of chase them around the playground every week looking for more lunch money. And we think we’ll get another wad of cash this week through Jordan Mason.
New York has given up 115+ rushing yards in eight straight games coming into this one. They are one of just two teams in the league allowing 150+ yards per game on the ground for the season. They are also giving up 123.6 rushing yards per game to running backs, which is second-most in the NFL.
Even if you look at a more recent sample size over the past four weeks, the Giants are giving up by far the most rushing yards per game at 157.3. The 5.8 yards per carry they are allowing also leads the league during that span.
Mason, meanwhile, has been a pretty steady presence for the Vikings’ ground game recently. He has gone for 40+ rushing yards in four of his last five games. He’s also seen more work during this two-game winning streak, toting the ball 10+ times in both games. He should see a similar workload here against New York.
Bijan Robinson, RB, ATL - Over 89.5 Rushing Yards (-110) @ ARI
The team right behind the Giants in the rushing yards allowed chart over the last four weeks is the Arizona Cardinals. For the past month, they’ve been giving up over 155 rushing yards per contest.
Last week, Woody Marks had 30 yards on seven carries against the Cardinals before an injury. His backup, Jawhar Jordan, then went for 100+. The week before that, they allowed 128 to Blake Corum, 84 to Kyren Williams, and 41 to Ronnie Rivers.
They allowed six RBs to rush for 60+ yards against them in the five games before that. Bijan Robinson is one of the best backs in the league, so he should be able to take advantage as well. He has hit 80+ rushing yards in five of his last six games.
Justin Herbert, QB, LAC - Over 243.5 Passing Yards (-110) @ DAL
As Jerry Jones said this week: when any QB plays against the Cowboys, they tend to fix what ails them. That’s what happened with J.J. McCarthy last week, as the embattled youngster was able to have one of his best games as a pro against this decidedly beatable defense.
Dallas is giving up the most passing yards per game this season (254.8). And even over the last four weeks, they’re giving up the fourth-most at 267.0 per game. And Justin Herbert needs a get-right game. He hasn’t had more than 220 yards in a game since the second day of November, and it’s rare for a player of his caliber to stay down for as long as he has. A date with Dallas is just what the expensive L.A. doctor ordered for Herbert.
