Arsenal is a heavy -250 favorite at soccer betting sportsbooks. Tottenham returns at +700 odds, while a draw is priced at +360. The total goals are set at 2.5, and the Over has cashed in three of the last four meetings.
It’s been all Gunners in recent memory in the North London derby. They’ve won the last three fixtures against Spurs, previously beating them 2-1 in January at the Emirates.
Arsenal vs Tottenham Analysis
The North Londoners have been so close to winning the Premier League in recent seasons, but they’ve unfortunately had to settle for runner-up. That being said, the 2025-26 campaign has a different feel to it, and it does look possible for Mikel Arteta’s men to finally lift the grand prize. Liverpool’s dominance has taken a downward turn, while Manchester City isn’t the same side as in the past, although they’re improving. Arsenal is sitting on 26 points in top spot with an 8-2-1 record, and even a defeat here would keep them in first. However, that’s not the goal, and giving City any chance to catch them is bad news.
While a draw with Sunderland on matchday wasn’t ideal, it did extend Arsenal’s phenomenal 14-game unbeaten run. Their lone defeat this term came on August 31 against Liverpool, and since then, they haven’t lost a single game. Viktor Gyokeres has bagged four goals in his debut season at the Emirates, while Bukayo Saka has two goals. Several others have also hit the back of the net twice. The Gunners have conceded just five times in 11 matches – a league low. This is an incredibly solid side, and they should feel confident heading into Sunday’s encounter.
Spurs have been dealing with injuries all season long, but they’ve managed to stay in the hunt for a Champions League berth. Thomas Frank has guided this club to a 5-3-3 start, scoring 19 goals and conceding just 10 in 11 outings. That’s rather impressive considering the important players sidelined, most notably James Maddison. Although there’s been drama within this squad and reported tension with the boss, Tottenham’s season remains very much alive. However, getting positive results in games like this is crucial, with minimal points separating fifth and 13th in the table.
The Lilywhites looked well on their way to three points on matchday 11 against United after Richarlison seemingly scored the winner in injury time. But Matthijs de Ligt saved the day for the Red Devils, equalizing at the death. Tottenham has just one win in its last four Premier League appearances, previously losing to Chelsea on home soil at the beginning of the month. They need points badly here, and there’s always an incentive to perform in the hostile environment of the North London derby.
Arsenal vs Tottenham Injury News
Arsenal are dealing with some troubling injuries post-international break. Gabriel Magalhaes could miss the remainder of 2025, while Riccardo Calafiori hasn’t returned to training after leaving Italy camp early with an injury. Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz remain out, while Gabriel Martinelli, Gyokeres, and Gabriel Jesus are doubtful to feature as well. Spurs are missing Dominic Solanke, Yves Bissouma, Dejan Kulusevski, and James Maddison.
Arsenal vs Tottenham Picks
Arsenal’s plethora of absences is far from ideal, but Arteta has a deep squad at his disposal, and there’s tremendous cohesion within it. It’ll be a close match, but the Gunners will prevail once again in this historic fixture, while keeping another clean sheet in the process.
