Liverpool vs Tottenham Odds

Liverpool is a heavy -334 moneyline favorite at soccer betting sportsbooks. Spurs return as a +800 underdog, giving them a mere 11% chance of emerging victorious here.

The Merseysiders have dominated Tottenham in recent memory, capturing three straight victories against them. The reverse fixture in December ended 2-1 in favor of Liverpool.

Liverpool vs Tottenham Analysis

It hasn’t been the best title defense for Liverpool, who are fighting week in and week out to even finish in the top-four. They’re currently in fifth with 48 points, and winning it all again is very much out of the question. They head into the second leg of the UCL Round of 16 against Galatasaray also down 1-0 after losing the opening leg on Tuesday.

However, before that defeat, Arne Slot’s men were starting to find their form, winning five of six games across all competitions. The Reds only sit three points behind Manchester United in third while sitting level with Chelsea, so grabbing a victory on Sunday is absolutely crucial in their pursuit of a Champions League berth for next term. They’ve outscored Spurs 9-1 across their last two meetings at Anfield.

Spurs have been absolutely horrendous this season, and it doesn’t seem to matter who is in charge. Former Juventus boss Igor Tudor remains at the helm and while Tottenham is reluctant to make another managerial change, he could also be on his way out if things don’t improve. The club hasn’t won a Premier League game since the turn of the year, and Tuesday’s loss in Madrid was embarrassing.

Almost every single goal conceded to Atleti was Spurs’ own fault, making countless mistakes. Keeper Antonin Kinsky was pulled after conceding three times in the first 15 minutes, and Tudor didn’t even acknowledge his player on his way off the pitch. There’s serious issues within this club right now, and if they don’t get their act together soon, relegation from the Premier League is also possible. The Lilywhites are only a point above safety.

Liverpool vs Tottenham Injury News

Liverpool could welcome back goalkeeper Alisson Becker after the Brazilian missed the midweek trip to Turkey with a muscle issue, while Federico Chiesa is also expected to return following illness. However, Giovanni Leoni, Conor Bradley, Wataru Endo, and Alexander Isak remain sidelined through injury.
Tottenham arrive with a lengthy injury list, starting with Micky van de Ven, who is suspended following his recent red card. Cristian Romero and Joao Palhinha are also unavailable after a clash of heads earlier in the week, while Yves Bissouma, Destiny Udogie, and Conor Gallagher are doubts or confirmed absentees. Spurs are further depleted by long-term injuries to Lucas Bergvall, Ben Davies, Mohammed Kudus, Rodrigo Bentancur, Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, and Wilson Odobert, leaving them potentially without up to 13 players for the trip to Anfield.

Liverpool vs Tottenham Picks

I have zero confidence in Tottenham, who look absolutely lost. While Liverpool isn’t always consistent, they should be able to comfortably handle the visitors here, considering their impressive 8-3-3 record on home soil.
