Tottenham vs Crystal Palace Analysis
It’s truly been a horrible campaign for Spurs, who could be at risk of relegation if they do not get their act together. While the club is somehow through to the Round of 16 in the Champions League, Tottenham are in 16th place in the Premier League, and as previously mentioned, only four points above the relegation zone. The North Londoners have already sacked boss Thomas Frank after barely a half season at the helm, but Igor Tudor hasn’t had much success since stepping into the Spurs dugout, either.
In fact, Tottenham hasn’t won a game in the Premier League since December 28, the same day they beat Crystal Palace. Without a victory in the top flight in 2026, Spurs are very much due for three points, but their recent form isn’t exactly a reason for optimism. Since a draw with Manchester City, Tottenham has dropped 12 points across four matches.
Palace aren’t much above Spurs, but they’re at least in safety. Oliver Glasner’s side has compiled a 9-8-11 record, putting them in 14th with 35 points. The Eagles did suffer a gut-wrenching defeat on the weekend, though, seemingly throwing away three points against Man United. After taking a one-goal lead early in the first half thanks to Maxence Lacroix, he proceeded to be sent off in the 56th minute for a challenge on Matheus Cunha. Bruno Fernandes then equalized from the spot before Benjamin Sesko bagged the winner eight minutes later.
That was Palace’s second loss in their last three Premier League games. While they’re through in the UEFA Conference League, Glasner recently said the club isn’t focused on Europe. Fighting their way up the table in England remains the priority. Winning games like Thursday are crucial, despite their disappointing form against Spurs.
Tottenham vs Crystal Palace Injury News
Spurs received a small boost last time out as Kevin Danso and Pedro Porro returned, but Djed Spence missed out with a minor calf issue and remains a doubt. Tudor will still be without a lengthy list of absentees, including Destiny Udogie, Lucas Bergvall, Ben Davies, Mohammed Kudus, Rodrigo Bentancur, Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, and Wilson Odobert through injury, while Cristian Romero is suspended.
Palace is also dealing with defensive disruption, as Lacroix serves a one-game suspension following his red card at Old Trafford. Chadi Riad is expected to slot into Glasner’s back three. The Eagles remain without Cheick Doucoure, Eddie Nketiah, Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Jefferson Lerma.
Tottenham vs Crystal Palace Picks
Despite Palace’s lack of success versus Spurs, they’ve only suffered defeat once in their last nine London derbies on the road. Tottenham is still a mess, so I’ll take these two to play to a draw here.
