Reds vs Orioles Odds

There’s no clear favorite for the series opener at MLB betting sites. The O’s sit at -125 on the moneyline, while the Reds come back at -102. With two vulnerable arms on the mound, the total is set relatively high at 9.5.

Cincinnati took two out of three from Baltimore in their lone series in the 2025 season.

Reds vs Orioles Analysis

Cincinnati happens to be in a very tough National League Central, but their inconsistencies this season aren’t helping. The Reds are in dead last in the division with a 40-46 record, and they just lost two of three to the first-place team in the NL Central, the Milwaukee Brewers. However, ace Chase Burns helped Cincy grab a massive victory in the finale as he outdueled Cy Young candidate Jacob Misiorowski. The Reds tagged the hard-throwing righty for five runs, although just one was earned.

Cincinnati will be hoping Brady Singer can build on Burns’ success in the series opener against the Orioles here. The left-hander has had a rough year, posting a 3-7 record and 5.12 ERA across 77.1 innings of work. However, he’s improved lately, compiling a 3.90 FIP across his last two appearances. Singer has limited opponents to a 36.5% hard hit rate over the last month, suggesting the southpaw is trending in the right direction.

It was only a couple of years ago when the Orioles were considered a serious contender in the American League, and now, they’re not even in the playoff picture. Baltimore sits eight games below .500 and a whole 12.5 games out of first place in the AL East, one of the toughest divisions in the big leagues. Offensively, they’ve actually been a lot better in 2026, ranking 10th in runs. But, on the mound, the O’s are struggling, posting a 4.39 team ERA. That ranks 22nd.

Rogers is a reason for their inconsistencies on the hill. The left-hander owns a 5-7 record and 4.99 ERA across 15 starts, striking out 61 hitters in 79.1 innings while walking 24. However, Rogers has been a mile better as of late. Across his last five outings, the 28-year-old sports a 2.90 xERA while allowing just 0.29 HR/9. Rogers has given up just one earned run across his last two starts, and he’s pitched into the sixth or deeper in three consecutive appearances.

Reds vs Orioles Picks

While the overall numbers for Rogers and Singer aren’t pretty, they’re both finding success lately by limiting hard contact and pounding the strike zone. That being said, the Under offers value, especially because both offenses aren’t producing right now, either.
