Aston Villa vs West Ham Odds

Villa heads into this clash as a heavy -103 moneyline favorite at soccer betting sportsbooks. West Ham returns at +295 odds. A draw is priced at +265.

The Lions are enjoying a six-game unbeaten run against the Hammers across all competitions, notching four wins during that span. The reverse fixture in December at the London Stadium was a thriller, though, with Villa winning 3-2.

Aston Villa vs West Ham Analysis

Villa have been one of the biggest surprises in the Premier League this term. There was even a time when they were in the mix for the title race, but Unai Emery’s side have hit a poor run of form over the last few weeks, and if they do not turn it around quickly, the club will fall out of a Champions League spot.

The Villains have just one victory across their last seven Premier League games, and that lone win was way back on February 11 against Brighton. Since then, the Lions have lost to Chelsea, Wolves, and Man United. On a more positive note, they’re through to the Europa quarterfinals after beating Lille 2-0 on Thursday. Hopefully, that victory can give the hosts some much-needed confidence.

The Hammers have had a forgettable campaign, and it feels like a foregone conclusion that they’re likely going down to the Championship. West Ham have a 7-8-15 record, sitting on 29 points in 18th place. Nottingham Forest also has 29 points, while Spurs have 30, and Leeds have 32. It’s still possible to get out of the relegation zone, but it will be a difficult task.

That being said, last weekend’s stalemate with Man City was a step in the right direction. The Hammers went down early but Konstantinos Mavropanos equalized just before halftime. That extended their unbeaten run to three games across all competitions, previously beating Fulham on March 4 in league action while knocking out Brentford in the FA Cup fourth round on penalties.

Aston Villa vs West Ham Injury News

Youri Tielemans (ankle) has returned to training and could be in line for a late fitness test ahead of his first appearance since January. However, Boubacar Kamara (knee) remains sidelined and is unavailable for selection.
Oliver Scarles has been passed fit and is available for West Ham, but the Hammers are still without Crysencio Summerville (calf) and Lukasz Fabianski (back), who both remain on the treatment table.

Aston Villa vs West Ham Picks

West Ham is playing well, but Villa also just grabbed an enormous European victory that surely gives them a boost for this important clash. With Liverpool losing to Brighton, the hosts can widen their gap in fourth. They will win this fixture.
