PSG vs Arsenal Odds

PSG is a +110 favorite for the return leg in the French capital, while Arsenal is a clear underdog at soccer betting sites.

PSG vs Arsenal Analysis

While PSG failed to conquer the Champions League with Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar, 2024-25 may be their best shot at finally lifting Europe’s most prized trophy. Luis Enrique’s side has enjoyed a phenomenal campaign, already winning Ligue 1 and also looking like one of the most dangerous sides in the world. While Paris did have to get through the UCL playoffs after finishing outside of the top eight in the group stages, they’ve impressed in the competition, even eliminating Liverpool along the way in the Round of 16 at Anfield on penalties.

Aston Villa presented a difficult challenge in the quarterfinals, but PSG prevailed by the skin of their teeth. As for the first leg against Arsenal, Enrique’s group took an early advantage in the fourth minute thanks to a phenomenal finish from Dembele, and they managed to hold on and will take that 1-0 advantage into the Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

Arsenal is, of course, the only English club left in the Champions League, and they were solid in the group stages, compiling a 6-1-1 record and securing an automatic berth in the knockout rounds. The Gunners’ most famous victory in the competition so far was against 15-time winners and holders Madrid, taking them down 5-1 on aggregate across two legs, a result that practically no one predicted.

As for domestically, Mikel Arteta’s men are likely to finish as runners-up behind Liverpool, although Manchester City is gaining ground. Arsenal has tasted defeat in back-to-back matches, though, losing to Bournemouth over the weekend after taking an early lead. On a more positive note, they’re unbeaten in seven games away from the Emirates Stadium across all competitions. They’ve also come out victorious in four in a row in the UCL on the road.

PSG vs Arsenal Injury News

Paris is relatively healthy heading into the second leg. Dembele sustained a hamstring injury in the opening tie, but he’s expected to feature in this crucial fixture that could send PSG through to the showpiece. Lee Kang-in is doubtful after suffering an injury over the weekend. Arsenal, meanwhile, remain without a plethora of players, including Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, and Gabriel Magalhaes. Thomas Partey will return to the middle of the pitch after missing the first leg due to a suspension.

PSG vs Arsenal Picks

Even though PSG has just two wins in their last six games while also losing three times during that span, they’re elite on home soil, and Enrique’s attack is electrifying with countless options out wide. They will cause Arsenal some trouble and secure a victory in this decisive return tie in the French capital.
