Chelsea vs Manchester City Odds
| Moneyline | Chelsea +215 | Man City +117 |
| Total Goals | Ov 3 (-114) | Un 3 (-104) |
City comes in as a slim +117 moneyline favorite at soccer betting sportsbooks. Chelsea returns at +215 odds, while a draw is priced at +285. The Under in goals has cashed in four of the last five meetings.
The Sky Blues have dominated Chelsea in recent memory. They’re enjoying a 12-game unbeaten run dating back to 2021, with only three draws during that span. The January clash was an entertaining one, though, with the Blues grinding out a point.
Chelsea vs Manchester City Analysis
The Blues have shown glimpses of brilliance at times this season, but overall, Liam Rosenior’s side hasn’t been good enough. Chelsea is currently in sixth place, and their top-four aspirations are slowly drifting. Heading into matchday 32, the Blues are six points behind fourth-place Aston Villa, who will face Nottingham Forest this weekend.
Chelsea was knocked out of the UCL at the Round of 16 stage by title-holders PSG, who embarrassed them across two legs. In fact, before beating Port Vale in cup play last weekend, Rosenoir’s group had tasted defeat in four straight games across all competitions. They’re winless across their last two Premier League fixtures, losing to Newcastle and Everton. Grabbing three points here is crucial, but it will be an incredibly tough task against City.
Pep Guardiola’s men may be out of the Champions League and second in the title race in England, but they’ve already won silverware this term, lifting the Carabao Cup. City also has a realistic shot at winning the FA Cup. Securing two trophies would be a feather in the club’s cap, despite missing out on both the Champions League and Premier League titles.
The Sky Blues are currently nine points behind first place Arsenal, whom they beat in the Carabao Cup final before the international break. Guardiola’s men are enjoying a 13-game unbeaten run in England across league and cup play. Their only defeats in recent memory came in the UCL Round of 16, where Real Madrid once again eliminated them from the competition.
Chelsea vs Manchester City Injury News
Chelsea is still dealing with several key absences heading into this clash. Reece James (thigh), Levi Colwill (knee), Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (thigh), Filip Jorgensen (groin), and Trevoh Chalobah (ankle) all remain sidelined. There is a potential boost, however, as Benoit Badiashile could return after recovering from illness, which would offer some much-needed depth at the back.
Manchester City’s concerns are largely at the back, where Ruben Dias (hamstring/knock) and Josko Gvardiol (leg) are both expected to miss out. John Stones is also a slight doubt after withdrawing from international duty with a calf issue, although he could be involved in some capacity if he proves his fitness in training.
Chelsea vs Manchester City Picks
The Blues have looked dysfunctional lately, and there’s been no shortage of off-pitch issues as well. City has run riot on Chelsea in recent meetings, and they’re in flying form. Confidently lock in the Man City moneyline.
