And then there were two. The 2025 French Open women’s final will take place on Saturday, June 7, and we’ll have a must-watch clash between world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and American superstar Coco Gauff. Sabalenka ended Iga Swiatek’s pursuit of four straight Roland Garros titles on Thursday, beating the Polish standout in three sets in the semis. As for Gauff, she had to get past Madison Keys in the quarterfinals before taking down unranked Lois Boisson in the last four, 6-1, 6-2. Read below for the Sabalenka vs Gauff picks.

Aryna Sabalenka vs Coco Gauff Odds

PlayerOdds
Aryna Sabalenka-210
Coco Gauff+175

Sabalenka is a clear -210 favorite for the showpiece at tennis betting sites. Gauff is an underdog, coming back at +175 odds.

This is the 10th all-time meeting between these two, and it’s been completely even. They’ve both won five matches apiece. Only two of their meetings have been in Majors, however, with Gauff beating Sabalenka in the 2023 US Open before the Belarusian got revenge in the 2024 Australian Open.

Aryna Sabalenka vs Coco Gauff Analysis

Sabalenka has been arguably the most dominant player on the WTA Tour over the last year. She won four titles in total in 2024, including a pair of Grand Slam trophies. The Minsk, Belarus native has carried that success into 2025, already capturing three titles and compiling an impressive 39-6 record, earning over $4 million as well. That’s surely to increase, regardless of what happens on Saturday.

The 28-year-old has taken down three ranked opponents in the last three rounds of the French Open, most recently defeating the struggling Swiatek. Sabalenka won the first set before dropping the second. But she bounced back with authority in the third and final set, dominating Swiatek with a 6-0 victory. Sabalenka is looking for her fourth career Grand Slam title on Saturday. She’s never won in Paris, having grabbed a pair of Aussie Open titles and one at the US Open as well.

Gauff is still extremely young, but she’s really shot up the rankings over the last couple of years. The Florida native is now up to No. 2 in the world, and it’s only fitting she’ll face the top-ranked player in the world in the French Open final. The 22-year-old previously played in a Roland Garros showpiece in 2022, losing to Swiatek. She has one Grand Slam trophy in her career, winning the US Open in 2023.

The youngster hasn’t collected a title yet in ‘25, but she has posted a 30-8 record. She fell in the Rome final before the French Open, losing to Italy’s own Jasmine Paolini. Gauff was also beaten in the Madrid final by none other than Sabalenka. There’s no shortage of motivation for Gauff here to get revenge. Gauff made the quarterfinals of the only other Major this year so far, losing to Paula Badosa in the Aussie Open.

Aryna Sabalenka vs Coco Gauff Picks

Despite Sabalenka sitting as a heavy favorite, Gauff is also in solid form, and she’s had success in the past against the Belarusian. This will not be a walk in the park for the world No. 1. Gauff will push her to the brink. However, I do believe Sabalenka will come out on top in a three-set thriller.
