We have some interleague baseball on Monday, May 19, as the Baltimore Orioles head to Wisconsin to begin a three-game set with the Milwaukee Brewers. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:40 PM ET. Baltimore is a mess and just fired their manager, Brandon Hyde, as they continue to slide down the American League East standings. As for the Brew Crew, they’re struggling as well, sitting below .500 at the moment. Keep reading for the Orioles vs Brewers picks.

Orioles vs Brewers Odds

The Brewers are a -120 moneyline favorite, while the Orioles come back at +100 at MLB betting sites.

The Over could offer serious value here given the starting pitchers on each side, but we’ll discuss that more in-depth below.

These two ball clubs don’t meet too often, with just six matchups across the last two seasons. Milwaukee is 4-2 during that span against Baltimore.

Orioles vs Brewers Analysis

The O’s have been considered a serious contender over the last few years, but they’ve failed to live up to expectations with back-to-back early playoff exits. This season, it appears Baltimore may not even make the playoffs at all unless they figure it out in a hurry. The Orioles are dead last in the AL East with a 15-3 record and have struggled in every single way imaginable. That just led to Hyde being let go only 45 games into the campaign, the skipper who was considered one of the best in the Majors.

Baltimore heads into the series opener on a six-game losing streak, suffering back-to-back sweeps at the hands of the Minnesota Twins and the Washington Nationals. Their pitching has been very poor, and Dean Kremer takes the ball in this one. The righty owns a disappointing 5.36 ERA, and that balloons to 6.96 on the road. Milwaukee’s lineup is hitting over .300 against Kremer in 28 at-bats.

The Brewers aren’t as bad as the Orioles, but they’re not much better, either. Milwaukee is sitting at 22-25, which puts them in fourth place in the National League Central. The Brew Crew isn’t anything to write home about on the mound or at the dish, ranking 15th in runs scored, 24th in hits, and 25th in average. On the hill, they rank 21st with a 4.19 ERA. The Brewers have missed several key arms, however, including Aaron Ashby, Brandon Woodruff, and Aaron Civale. All three will be back soon, though.

Quinn Priester gets the call for Monday’s clash. He’s posted a 1-2 record and 4.59 ERA in six starts, striking out 23 in 33.1 innings of work while walking 21. However, Priester is throwing the ball better as of late, allowing just two earned runs across his last two outings. The 24-year-old has never faced anyone in the Orioles lineup except for Dylan Carlson, who used to play in the NL Central with the St. Louis Cardinals.

Orioles vs Brewers Picks

You have two teams that are having minimal success so far in 2025. Milwaukee does play better at home, going 13-9. They also just ended the Minnesota Twins’ 13-game winning streak. But instead of picking a winner, I will take the Over in runs. Kremer and Priester aren’t consistent. I’m expecting lots of offense in Monday’s contest.
