The Baltimore Orioles will be looking to bounce back from a tough series against the New York Yankees as they return home to host the Texas Rangers on Monday, June 23. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:35 PM EDT. The O’s just dropped two of three to their divisional rivals in disappointing fashion, while the Rangers won two of three in an interleague matchup with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Orioles vs Rangers Odds

The Orioles are a clear -135 home favorite for the series opener, while the Rangers return with +110 odds at MLB betting sites.

This is the first time these two teams will clash in 2025. However, last season, Baltimore dominated Texas, going 5-2 in seven meetings.

Orioles vs Rangers Analysis

It’s common knowledge that Baltimore has been one of the most underwhelming teams in the Majors. Despite being labeled a potential World Series contender over the last few years, the O’s are struggling immensely, sitting in last place in the AL East with a 33-44 record. While injuries have played their part, the reality is Baltimore isn’t playing well enough. They even fired manager Brandon Hyde relatively early in the campaign due to the poor play. The Orioles are 23rd in numerous offensive categories, including runs scored, hits, average, and OBP. Ryan O’Hearn is about their only consistent hitter. On the hill, this ball club has a 4.94 ERA.

The O’s will hand lefty Trevor Rogers the ball here, who was recently recalled from Triple-A Norfolk. He’s posted a 3.12 ERA in two starts so far, striking out nine in 8.2 innings of work while issuing three free passes. Rogers only lasted 2.1 innings last time out, allowing three earned to the Tampa Bay Rays. He has quite a bit of big league experience though, throwing over 100 innings on three occasions for the Miami Marlins.

The World Series hangover was real for the Rangers last season and ‘25 doesn’t look much better so far. While the AL West is wide open, Bruce Bochy’s group is two games below .500 with a 38-40 record, putting them in third in the division. Just like Baltimore, this offense is very inconsistent, despite having stars like Adolis Garcia, Marcus Semien, and Corey Seager, although the latter has missed substantial time due to injury. Texas is 6-4 in their last 10 however and have won two of their previous three games after the KC Royals swept them in Arlington.

Veteran Patrick Corbin takes the hill in the series opener in Maryland and he’s having a respectable campaign. In 13 outings, the southpaw is 4-6 with a 3.91 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. He’s struck out 53 batters in 71.1 innings while allowing 23 walks. But, Corbin has struggled lately, allowing at least three earned runs in each of his last two starts. He’s had some success against the Orioles’ lineup though, holding them to a .167 average across 30 at-bats.

Orioles vs Rangers Picks

You have a pair of offenses who do not score a lot of runs here and a pair of lefties on the hill. That could cause some trouble. Just given how both teams are swinging the bats, I see value in the Under here, especially because the total is relatively high at 9.5.
