The Favorite: Seattle Seahawks (+425)
As is usually the case, last year’s champion is sitting atop the odd table to do it again in 2026. The Seahawks were dominant in 2025 both on offense and defense, and we’d expect them to be very good again in 2026. However, they won a couple of tight ones last year, and we think those might swing the other way in 2026. Playing in the highly competitive NFC West could also lead to a bit of regression, but the biggest reason we don’t love the Seahawks here is that their +425 odds are way too short. Bettors need a lot more value than that when they’re going to sit on a bet for about a year.
Our Best Bet: Philadelphia Eagles (+750)
The team that won the Super Bowl the year before the Seahawks, the Eagles, is our favorite bet on the board. They were one of the best and deepest rosters in NFL history a couple of years ago, and there was really no reason for them to fall back in 2025 the way they did. It’s all in their heads, so if they can squash all the intra-team beef and lock back in, they’re still the most talented team in the league.
Dark Horse Candidate: Minnesota Vikings (+2,800)
If you want a long shot dart throw—which is reasonable considering this is a long-term futures bet—we like the Vikings. They are in a very tough NFC North now, but they’re as good as anyone in that division. They bring back their elite defensive coordinator in Brian Flores, which means it will all be on the QB to figure it out. Minnesota had some of the worst QB play in football last season, and they still went 9-8. We expect J.J. McCarthy to take a major step forward in his second season on the field. And if they end up going the way of a trade for a proven QB, all the better for this bet.
