Washington heads to NorCal still searching for its first road win this season, while San Francisco arrives having opened the year 5-0. Monday night closes out this week's NFL picks Week 6 slate, and the gap between these two rosters is as wide as any game on the board.
San Francisco 49ers vs Washington Commanders Best Bet
San Francisco 49ers -7.5: -108
The 49ers, a 7.5-point favorite at -108 at Sports Interaction is the number I keep coming back to. The 49ers average 30.8 ppg, third in the league, while Washington allows 29.8 ppg, third-worst in the NFL. Washington's offence ranks 17th and has not topped 27 points since Week 3. I like the 49ers to win by double digits here, so it is an easy call to back them at -7.5.
Christian McCaffrey Anytime Touchdown Scorer: -235
McCaffrey has scored a touchdown in each of San Francisco's last three games and in four of five overall this season, with five rushing touchdowns through five appearances. A 49ers team expected to control this game from the opening drive should keep feeding him work near the goal line. At -235 with Sports Interaction, that recent run makes the price worth backing again.

San Francisco 49ers vs Washington Commanders Analysis
The San Francisco side
San Francisco is the only unbeaten team left in the NFC West, built on a defence allowing just 18.6 ppg, third in the league. Nick Bosa is questionable with a calf issue, but he has no sacks in the two games he has played. Deebo Samuel is out with a hamstring injury until at least Week 9, thinning the receiving group. None of that changes the shape of this game: a top-five offence and defence Washington has not faced yet this season. Plus, QB Brock Purdy is an early-season MVP candidate.
The Washington side
Washington is 1-3-1, and the tie came at home in overtime against the Giants in their last game, a result covered in Washington's last tip, was a result of terrible clock management that had them crucified by the press this week. Jayden Daniels is back in form after returning from his elbow injury, but Stefon Diggs is questionable with the same hamstring that kept him out the last game, leaving Terry McLaurin to carry more of the load. On the road against a 49ers team that has been great on both sides of the ball I don't see enough here to keep this competitive.
San Francisco 49ers vs Washington Commanders Prediction
The market has San Francisco as a heavy favourite, and on the moneyline I mostly agree: Bet365's price implies a de-vigged 78% win probability for the 49ers, close to my own 76%, too small a gap to call a real edge there. Where I do see value is the spread. San Francisco has won by more than 7.5 points in three of its five games, and Washington's defence, the unit this matchup turns on, has not been competitive against anything resembling this level of offence of San Fran.

My Exact Score Prediction: San Francisco 49ers 31, Washington Commanders 20
I'm backing San Francisco to win comfortably and cover the spread. Purdy, McCaffrey and George Kittle give this offence too many weapons for a Washington defence that has allowed 30 or more points in two of its last three games. Washington will move the ball in stretches behind Daniels, but the defence will struggle. I expect San Francisco to pull away by the fourth quarter and finish just over the total, with a final score of 31-20.

Green Bay Packers vs Dallas Cowboys: NFL Predictions, Odds & Picks | Week 6
Dallas arrives at Lambeau Field with the NFL's 31st-ranked defence in total yards allowed, while Green Bay is coming off a 31-7 win over Chicago. The two teams last met in a wild 40-40 tie in September 2025, the night Micah Parsons first returned to Dallas after his trade to Green Bay.

Las Vegas Raiders vs Buffalo Bills: NFL Predictions, Odds & Picks | Week 6
Buffalo arrives at Allegiant Stadium off a wild overtime escape against the Rams, while Las Vegas is coming off a 45-17 blowout loss to New England. Both defences have been generous, Buffalo ranks 28th and Las Vegas 22nd in points allowed, setting up a Week 6 matchup that may be a barnburner.
