Buffalo Bills vs Baltimore Ravens Best Odds

Odds courtesy of Bet365, correct at time of writing and subject to change.

Buffalo's offence has carried its 5-1 start, averaging 32.8 ppg while their defence ranks third-to-last in the league giving up an average of 28.5 ppg. Baltimore sits at 4-3 after back-to-back losses to Cleveland and Cincinnati. The Ravens' attack has looked different with Lamar Jackson managing an ankle injury that kept him out of last week's 13-35 loss to the Bengals, and they have only totaled 23 points in the last two games. Sunday's trip to Highmark Stadium does not get easier against Josh Allen and a Bills' offence that has reached 33 points or more in four of its six games this season.

Buffalo Bills vs Baltimore Ravens Best Bet

Buffalo Bills -3.5: +100

My call here is Buffalo -3.5. The Bills are the highest-scoring team in the league and will be too much for the Ravens’ defence, which ranks 18th giving up an average of 23.9 ppg, to handle.

Baltimore has been outscored by a combined 25 points over its last two games. Lamar Jackson's ankle is the swing factor: he was out for last week's loss to Cincinnati, and even a limited version of him on the road against a Buffalo team that has won four of its last five is a tough ask. I like the Bills at home to cover the short number.

Buffalo Bills vs Baltimore Ravens Analysis

The Buffalo side

Buffalo is 5-1 and has won four of its last five, including a 33-30 comeback at Las Vegas two weeks ago. Quarterback Josh Allen continues to run an offence averaging 32.8 ppg. Baltimore's defence has allowed 23.9 ppg this season, a number that favours the home side on Sunday.

The Baltimore side

Baltimore is 4-3 and has lost two straight, a 13-35 result against Cincinnati that came one week after a 10-13 loss to Cleveland, with Lamar Jackson sidelined by an ankle injury for the Bengals game. Jackson is still listed as questionable but he is expected to play in this game. The team will still rely on Derrick Henry and a ground game that ranks fourth in the league in rushing yards per game. A 4-3 record built on narrow wins over Tennessee and in overtime against Atlanta points to a team that has not separated itself against the middle of the schedule, and a trip to a 5-1 Buffalo team is a big step up in competition.

Buffalo Bills vs Baltimore Ravens Prediction

After removing the vig from Bet365's line, the market has Buffalo at 62% to win; I'm at 67%. The extra five points reflect how the market sees Jackson coming back and two straight losses where the offence struggled. Take Buffalo to win and cover in their house.

My Exact Score Prediction: Buffalo Bills 30, Baltimore Ravens 20

I'm backing Buffalo to win 30-20. The Bills have scored at least 24 points in every game this season, a floor Baltimore's defence has not matched on the other side after allowing 13 and then 35 points over its last two outings. The Ravens are still averaging 24.1 ppg this season, enough on its own to account for the 20 points in this projection. A 10-point margin clears the -3.5 spread with room, and the 50-point total sits just shy of the 54.5 line.
