NFL Week 8 Early Sunday 1PM Betting Picks & Odds - October 19
All odds provided by Sports Interaction sportsbook.
Buffalo Bills @ Carolina Panthers - 1PM
The Panthers are going to be without their starting QB for this one, as Bryce Young is dealing with a high-ankle sprain. Andy Dalton has been a capable backup in the past, but he is 1-6 in his last seven starts going back to the 2022 season. Not to mention that Josh Allen and the Bills are coming off of a bye, and Allen is 6-0 ATS following a bye over the last six seasons. He’s also never lost three straight.
Best Bet: Buffalo Bills Alternative -6.5 Point Spread (-132)
New York Jets @ Cincinnati Bengals - 1PM
With Aaron Glenn playing coy about which quarterback he’s going to start against the Bengals, it’s tough to bet on the result here. We think the Bengals win either way, but if Tyrod Taylor is starting and healthy, a 6.5-point spread feels too big. We do expect Joe Flacco to get the Bengals out in front early, however, and the Jets run defense is much more susceptible than their pass defense. Chase Brown is also coming off his first 100-yard game of the season last week against the Steelers.
Best Bet: Chase Brown To Record 50+ Rush Yards (-152)
Chicago Bears @ Baltimore Ravens - 1PM
This is another one that’s tough to handicap with a QB uncertain to play. Lamar Jackson practiced in a limited fashion all week before John Harbaugh revealed he got a full session in on Friday. However, reports suggest he was only running the scout team and could be out again. This spread clearly suggests sportsbooks expect Jackson to play. If he doesn’t suit up, roll with the Bears underdog spread here.
Best Bet: Chicago Bears +3.5 Point Spread (-110)
Cleveland Browns @ New England Patriots - 1PM
The Browns may have earned a big win last week, but let’s pump the brakes here. It was the Dolphins after all. Meanwhile, Drake Maye has been playing better football than perhaps any QB in the league. And the Patriots as a whole have been on fire as well. They’re not just on a four-game winning streak, they’ve won four straight against the spread as well, including three straight as a favorite.
Best Bet: New England Patriots -7.0 Point Spread (-110)
San Francisco 49ers @ Houston Texans - 1PM
This spread is screaming rat line. Because why would a 5-2 team be an underdog to a 2-4 squad? And yet, we’re still going to roll with the dog here. You might say the 49ers injuries are the reason, but the Texans aren’t exactly healthy either, with both their top wideouts (Christian Kirk and Nico Collins) both already ruled out. Take the road dogs here.
Best Bet: San Francisco 49ers Moneyline (+108)
Miami Dolphins @ Atlanta Falcons - 1PM
The Dolphins are in about as bad a spot as any team in the league right now. They were in tough early on, but they seemed to still be fighting for their coach at least. Since the Tyreek Hill injury, they have looked much less inspired. The Falcons are also coming off a loss and in need of a win. Running back Bijan Robinson should lead the way against Miami’s league-worst run defense as Atlanta wins this comfortably.
Best Bet: Atlanta Falcons -7.0 Point Spread (-110)
New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles - 1PM
The Giants won this fixture in New York a couple of weeks ago, which essentially guarantees that the Eagles will win this one. Big Blue has not swept the Eagles since 2007, and they have not won in the City of Brotherly Love since 2013. Philly’s emerging passing game could turn this one into a blowout early.
Best Bet: Philadelphia Eagles -7.5 Point Spread (-110)
