Super Bowl 60 may be over (congrats to the Seattle Seahawks), but the NFL is a year-long affair these days. From mid-February to August there are no competitive games, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to talk or think about when it comes to the NFL.

And one of those things are the betting odds for next year’s big NFL prizes. They come out right after the previous season wraps up, so we’ve got tons to consider here. First up, we breakdown the betting odds and favorites on the odds board for “outright winner” NFL betting markets for the 2026 season, aka, who is going to win Super Bowl 61?

Highlights

  • The teams in the 2025 NFC Championship, the Rams and Seahawks, are co-favorites
  • Buffalo has the shortest odds of any AFC team
  • The Lions are tied for 7th on the odds board after missing the playoffs last season

The Favorites: Seattle Seahawks & Los Angeles Rams (+850)

As is usually the case, the reigning Super Bowl champs check in atop the odds table for next season’s winner. And it makes sense: they were the best team in the league last year, so why not this year? While the logic seems sound, it has not been borne out by the results: there has only been one repeat champ in the NFL over the last two decades. So if you want to be on one of the favorites, Seattle’s rivals, the Rams, might be a better look.

Our Best Bet: Los Angeles Rams (+850)

The Rams were considered by many to be the best team in the league for a large portion of last season. They had two instant classics with the Seahawks, but unfortunately they lost both by a hair, including the NFC Championship Game. Those games could have gone either way, and if they had, it would have been the Rams putting belt to Patriots butt in the Super Bowl.

If Matt Stafford’s back holds up, this team is built to run it back in a big way again in 2026. They will bring back nearly their entire roster from last year, with the biggest contributors set to hit free agency being starting strong safety Kamren Curl and fringe pass-catchers Tyler Higbee and Tutu Atwell.

Dark Horse Candidate: Detroit Lions (+1,500)

Since this is a futures bet, you might want better odds than +850. It is a year-long wait if you make the bet here in February after all. So if that’s the case, may we interest you in the Detroit Lions? They are offering nearly twice as much value as the Rams and Seahawks thanks to a down year where they missed the postseason in 2025. But they will also bring back nearly every major contributor from last season, and thanks to their last place finish in the NFC North in 2025, they have the sixth-easiest schedule in the league for 2026. The explosiveness of that offense cannot be held down another year.
