Dana White is feeling frisky early in 2026 as he’s scheduled back-to-back PPVs for the first time in as long as I can remember. UFC 324 was awesome, but can UFC 325 top it? The promotion heads to Sydney, Australia to put on this show, with a main card featuring eight ranked fighters as well as a featherweight championship bout.

If you want to check out our predictions and analysis for the preliminary card or for the first four fights of the main card, you can check out our UFC Picks page. Here, we dive deep into the headlining main event of the evening: the featherweight championship bout between two-time and current champ Alexander Volkanovski and No. 2 featherweight contender Diego Lopes.

The bout will be a rematch of last April’s matchup, which saw the Aussie and the Brazilian put on a Fight of the Night show that ended in a unanimous decision victory for Volkanovski. Will we get the same result in the rematch? Read on for our analysis of the fight, our best bets and picks, and the very best UFC betting odds Canada has to offer!

Note: None of our best bets feature odds shorter than -200.

To wrap up what should be a night full of fighting fireworks, we get a rematch of the war between Alexander Volkanovski (27-4) and Diego Lopes (27-7) for the vacant featherweight belt last April. That one ended as a unanimous decision win for Volkanovski, who became a two-time featherweight champ. While it was a clear win for Volkanovski, Lopes got his licks in as well. There’s a reason this one was named Fight of the Night.

While Volk hasn’t fought since that one, Lopes returned in September to win a wild scrap against Jean Silva with some brutal elbows to the head. It’s been less than a year since their first matchup, and while Lopes claims he’s changed his game plan, we’re expecting a similar fight as the last one.

Both of these guys can go nuts, but when Alexandre “The Great” does it, he’s able to keep himself safe. So while this is a tough one to call, we think the champ is the smarter, more shrewd fighter. Lopes struggles to do that when he starts chasing that knockout blow.

Diego Lopes has been finished just twice in his career, but neither of those came within the last eight years. Meanwhile, Volkanovski has become more of a point fighter as he’s aged. He also employs that strategy in the biggest fights: five of his seven wins in title fights have come via decision. Six of Volk’s last eight wins have also come via the judge’s scorecards as well. We think that’s the way it goes again, as the champ retains his belt with a quality performance that leaves Lopes beaten and bloodied but not down for the count.

Best Bet: Alexander Volkanovski to Win via Decision (+155)
