Chelsea vs Arsenal Odds
| Moneyline | Chelsea +230 | Arsenal +120 |
| Total Goals | Ov 2.5 (-118) | Un 2.5 (-118) |
Arsenal is a slim +120 road favorite at soccer betting sportsbooks. Chelsea returns at +230 odds, while a draw is also priced at +230. The Over/Under is set at 2.5 goals, and the Under has cashed in back-to-back meetings.
This exact fixture ended 1-1 last term, but the Gunners did beat the Blues at the Emirates in March thanks to a first-half winner from Mikel Merino.
Chelsea vs Arsenal Analysis
While minimal points are separating the top-half of the table right now outside of first-place Arsenal, Chelsea is definitely having a solid campaign. Sunday presents an opportunity to not only gain ground on their London rivals but also prove they’re deserving of being looked at as a title contender. Enzo Maresca’s men have compiled a 7-2-3 record, sitting six points behind the Gunners as we speak. The Blues are in solid form right now, winning three straight games across all competitions. They haven’t conceded in any of those matches while bagging eight goals.
Chelsea made quick work of the Clarets last weekend at Turf Moor, and they carried that momentum into a massive European clash with an always dangerous Barcelona side. The Blues frankly outplayed Hansi Flick’s team, and it showed in the scoreline, running out 3-0 winners at Stamford Bridge. It was a famous win for Chelsea, and it couldn’t come at a better time as they prepare to face arguably the best team in Europe at the moment – Arsenal.
The Gunners have settled for back-to-back seasons of finishing as runner-up in England. However, it truly feels like this could be their year to finally conquer the Premier League, and perhaps even the Champions League as well. Mikel Arteta has guided his group to a 9-2-1 start, with their only defeat coming at the beginning of the campaign to Liverpool. Although injuries have reared their ugly head at times, Arsenal’s tremendous depth has been on full display.
This side rolled in the North London derby on matchday 12 and ran riot on Spurs, throttling them 4-1. But it was a 3-1 UCL victory over Bayern that really made everyone believe this Arsenal team is the real deal. Vincent Kompany’s side has looked unmatched all season and was considered the current top side in the world alongside the Gunners. Arsenal completely dominated them, however, and remain undefeated in Europe, with a perfect 5-0-0 record. They simply couldn’t be in better form heading into this derby, but Chelsea also can’t be taken lightly, either.
Chelsea vs Arsenal Injury News
The Blues received promising news this week as Cole Palmer is set to return for the London derby after a two-month absence. But, he likely won’t start. Levi Colwill and Romeo Lavia are the absentees for Chelsea. Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Jesus are definitely not available for the visitors, while Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz are also questionable. Leandro Trossard picked up a knock against Bayern, but Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli will make up for his absence if he doesn’t play.
Chelsea vs Arsenal Picks
Chelsea has shown the ability to compete with top-notch sides, and I expect them to give Arsenal a run for their money on Sunday. Instead of taking a winner, lock in both teams to score.
