Copa America 2024: Best Bets & Parlay | Final July 14

The two sides we expected to emerge from the Copa America semifinals did just that, with Argentina and Colombia matching up for the ultimate CONMEBOL glory. Argentina has looked every bit like the world No. 1 team they are, and Colombia’s attack has been the most potent in the tournament.

Argentina vs. Colombia Best Bet:

Argentina to Lift Trophy (-189) | Betway

Argentina haven’t been at their world-conquering best, but through five matches, they’ve looked like they’re still the best team in this tournament. After looking a bit scruffy in their opening match win over Canada, they doubled down against the canucks in the semifinal, winning by the same 2-0 scoreline, but this time in much more dominating fashion.

Colombia has looked impressive as well, but they have been a bit suspect at the back, which will be a big problem against the elite talent La Albiceleste can turn to in the attack.

Argentina has won or drawn 34 of the 43 all-time meetings between these nations, including a 5-2-1 record in the last eight matchups. They are also 4-1-1 against Colombia at the Copa in recent years. At just -189 odds, Argentina to lift the trophy is offering sneakily reasonable soccer betting odds.

Argentina vs. Colombia Best Bet:

Over 1.5 Total Goals (-189) | Betway

This edition of the Copa America as well as the simultaneous Euros have not seen as many goals as most of us might have liked, and that’s reflected in the odds we’re getting here on the total goals prop from most sports betting sites.

Four of Argentina’s five matches at the tournament have seen 2+ goals, and same for seven of their last nine in all competitions. In eight of Colombia’s last nine matches prior to their wild 1-0 semifinal win over Uruguay earlier this week, they saw 2+ goals as well. Four of the last six Argentina-Colombia fixtures have also seen two or more goals.

At this tournament, 15 of the 24 group matches saw 2+ goals, and same goes for four of the six matches during the knockout stages. Betting on the over at just 1.5 total goals is truly a treat from Ontario sportsbooks.

Argentina vs. Colombia Best Bet:

Lautaro Martinez Anytime Scorer (+220) | Betway

It remains to be seen if Lautaro Martinez even starts this match, as he didn’t start the semifinal after starting the final group stage contest and the quarter-final against Peru. If Martinez doesn’t start, Lionel Messi at +185 is probably the best value on this prop, as Julian Alvarez has never even played against the Colombians.

Martinez has been on fire recently, scoring four goals in the first three matches of the tournament, while also scoring a brace in the final match leading up to the Copa. Martinez has also netted a goal in his last two appearances against Colombia, so his odds here are quite enticing here.
